Based on the reviews saying it ran very small, I got a 3T for my 21 month old. It's quite big on him (I think it's actually true to size - would have been better off with a 2T) but at least he can get lots of use out of it and will definitely be able to wear it for next season too. Very cute!

After reading other reviews, I purchased one size up and it fit my grandson the way it should, with a loose fit. I gave it four stars since I do not know if it shrank in the wash.

Good shirt, but it is very small and we had to return it. We bought a 4T for our average sized 4 year old and it looked like a 2T shirt. Very small and would probably be even smaller when washed. It looks like a nice quality shirt if you just plan for the size issue.
