Great value, works well with iPad Pro and magic keyboard.
I drive a Volvo XC 90 and do a lot of remote work and unfortunately the cockpit is sorely lacking in a surface to place a laptop or tablet when pulled over or parked trying to do a work task. So I looked at the full range of options available, and for my vehicle, the seat bolt mount was definitely the best option. This product seemed like about the best value in the category so I gave it a try.The actual tablet mount works better than it looks, it actually works really well and holds the iPad pretty well either by itself or with the keyboard attached by connecting directly to the keyboard. There is a little bit of wobbling/vibration if used while driving, but I don’t really see how that could be avoided with the nature of the product. The handles to tighten and loosen the joint bolts are very well designed with a spring mechanism that allows easy adjustment without looking, which is especially important for the bottom portion.I have not attempted anything heavier than the iPad Pro with keyboard, it does seem like that is pretty much the safe limit for the device. Based on the dimensions, you could probably cram a MacBook Air into it but I wouldn’t try a MacBook Pro.The ball joint that connects the actual accessory holder at the top is a standard size, I believe 20 mm which is very popular for different brands of mounting accessories, so if you do want to try it with a different device like a GPS unit or a camera, it should be trivial to swap those accessories. I am probably going to look for a head to mount my DJI vlog camera.

works well in chevy xpress 2500 and ford transit van
I own a small fleet of vans which are used by technicians. Each technician has an iPad Air 2 in a hard case and these Arkon mounts are really the best value for money when it comes to a tablet mount for a Van with this configuration of iPad. The mount is sturdy and grabs the iPad securely when in motion. There is very little rocking or sway while driving and is a great hands free solution when use of the ipad is required for directions and customer information. Easy to mount and comes with a couple of mounts for mounting in a variety of ways. In the Chevy Xpress vans we mount the stand to the center console and in the Ford transit vans we mount them to the passenger seat assembly.

4.5 Star
Well build. I had to add a tension washer due to the screw holding the plate is bit too long. See last picture. Thus 4.5.

Works well for tractor trailer
The media could not be loaded. When I first bought this I had a Kenworth W900. I bolted the stand to an existing hole in the passenger seat frame under the seat cushion and adjusted the arms on the stand to where I wanted. The shaking was minimal.I moved to a Peterbilt 567 4 axle heavy haul truck. To install it I removed a mounting bolt from the seat to the floor. To get the bolt through the foot I had to file a very small amount off the inside of the foot then run the bolt through to the floor. In this truck it shakes A LOT as seen in the video. I had to run a short bungee cord from the stand to the right side of the seat frame so it was tight to get the shaking and vibration under control. I attribute the massive increase in shaking and vibration to the heavy suspension of the heavy haul set up.The stand holds my tablet in place . It has “L” shaped brackets that are spring loaded on the bottom. You just push down and the tablet will come out. I’ve taken my tablet out of the stand numerous times, at times several times a day, to show my OD permits at the scales. The springs tension holds up well. Even on the worse roads with loads well above 170,000 lbs gross my tablet stays in the stand. The stand was easy to put together and very easy to adjust. I would give it 5 starts if it was sturdier.

works well
has stayed locked in place for the most part. a few little quirky things, but nothing to reduce stars for. I was hoping it would be worth the money. it is.

Super easy install
For the money this was a great deal. it went in by loosening one bolt sliping the bracket in and tightening back up. I already expected that it was going to wobble around once the tablet was in it and yes it did. Again because i expected it; I had already planned out making a strut to support it better. A 6 dollar piece of aluminum angle iron from Lowes, a few minutes with a drill & file, add a spacer and a longer screw and its rock solid... Happy, happy, happy with this

Just ok
I like it but it’s constantly moving and hard to lock down, the screen vibrates when moving. Not great quality and the clamping system could be improved.

Rock Solid for Off-Road Use
I bought this for my Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road. Over the past week I've had it installed and holding a 10" iPad. I went about 350 miles off road, and if you know anything about it - that is a TON of shake, rattle and roll. This mount never came loose once. The iPad does bounce slightly when you hit the rough stuff but that is to be expected on a long extension arm. The only other comparable product I've found is a RAM mount that costs $390 (compared to about $90 for this). Overall this is very well made of solid metal parts and pieces. The actual tablet holder is plastic. I could see myself upgrading this but regardless it worked just find for me.

With a few mods, its perfect.
I looked around a lot before buying one of these for my Fire tablet that I planned to keep in my vehicle connected to my OBD2 port. I wanted something that would look clean with no clips to hold the tablet in, to achieve this I purchased a separate hard plastic full case for the tablet and drilled 4 holes in the back, I then used T bolts to hold the case to the tablet stand. This made the stand look much cleaner and tailored to fit my tablet exactly, not to mention it was very sturdy, no chance of the tablet ever falling out. However there was one issue still persistent, no matter how I tightened the pivot points the stand would always have play. So I took another afternoon and welded a solid steel rod down the length of the stand making it so even if the pivot joints aren't tightened at all, the stand still won't move at all. As the stand sits now it's about the most durable and robust tablet stand I have ever seen and it gets used every day with bags smacking it to going down a bumpy forestry road, it doesn't budge at all anymore.

Good quality
Good, study construction. Might need some support against the centre console. Being long wobble can't be eliminated except by some extra support. Easy fix though.
