Pretty good for the price
Pretty decent case overall. Fits my Mini 4 very well, feels pretty sturdy and well built especially for the price. So far it's been great for propping vertically on my desk to read sheet music for my music classes.It only does the couple of origami folds that are advertised, it doesn't have the magnets to be able to do the triangular fold that a typical smart cover does. But that hasn't really been a problem at all, I like being able to prop it up vertically. Also the smart lock does work, but the cover is not really magnetically held to the iPad so it can come loose at the corners (pictured). But again that might not be much of an issue depending on how you carry it.One important thing to note is that it took about a month to get here since it shipped straight from China. I imagine that most other cases that look like this on Amazon are pretty similar, so if you find one that ships from the US then go for that one. But still, this is a pretty solid option.

Love this iPad case!
I use my iPad in “portrait” orientation the majority of time. I have always had an origami-style case as they can be used to hold the iPad in a variety of positions, including portrait. I’m glad I found this case, because origami-style cases seem to be getting very hard to find. The case is nice looking, has a nice feel, and fits my iPad perfectly. I’m thinking of getting another one so that I will have a backup in case I should need it.

Great knock-off of the Origami case
This is a made-in-China knockoff of the original Origami iPad case but it does exactly the same thing. It covers the iPad perfectly and folds into multiple positions exactly as it should. The color is as described. I bought the turquoise and am very happy with it. I would buy this again, even if it is a knock-off.

Total Ripoff: Doesn't Work Properly
FALSE ADVERTISING: It's not magnetic, so it doesn't lock the screen, doesn't stay closed, and it won't stay together if you fold it. Look for another version of this case.All positive reviews are probably paid.

Disappointing
The magnet is way too weak to be reliable to hold the different configurations of the stands.

Flimsy with weak magnets
Though it does fit the iPad 4 well, it’s pretty flimsy. The magnets are not strong enough to hold the cover closed, it flops open as I carry the iPad around, thus shortening battery life. So cheap, it’s hard to argue about the quality - as always - you get what you pay for.

Parfait pour les besoins, et jolie en plus !
J’ai acheté à plusieurs reprises des coques pour mon iPad 4 mini mais elles étaient en plastique sur, et à chaque fois elles finissaient par casser. Cette protection, quant à elle, est en plastique souple mais épais, l’ajustage Sur la tablette est parfait et je la sens plus en sécurité. De plus, la couverture devant en origami est très jolie et les multiples positions proposées la rend très pratique d’utiliszrion : format portrait ou paysage, plus ou moins incliné... que demande le peuple ?En bref, c’est la coque de tablette qui me satisfait le mieux. Et c’est la moins chère en plus !

Best Value Origami iPad Smart Cover
I am a fan of origami cases and before buying this Maetek case bought 2 Pipetto cases in a row. Both of the Pipettos eventually failed at the bottom right corner and would no longer hold the iPad without it falling out. I found the Maetek product and it functions as well as the Pipetto but is one third the cost. The plastic in the retaining frame seems softer than the brittle Pipetto so I am hopeful it will not break.My only issue with the Maetek is that the plastic covering the power button is too stiff and the iPad cannot be switched off using it. That said, the smart cover does work, so closing the cover becomes the way of switching off. This makes it awkward to screen capture by pressing off and home at the same time.I solved this by carefully cutting an aperture at the off button with a craft knife, so now perfect fit my needs. For some reason the plastic covering the volume buttons does not have the same problem.If Maetek are to retool, apertures for buttons would be better than the current covered design.
