Similar to another review on here, this is finally the mini dp to dp cable you've been looking for at 144hz. So many terrible sellers conveniently leaving out the important parts. Plugged this into my 8 year old Alienware and boom, 144hz output onto my monitor with zero adjustments needed. This is the one you have been looking for. I know, because I was you in your exact seat.

Make sure you use this in appropriate display port setups.
Be very attentive to this part of the description: won’t work with endpoint of DP 1.4This causes a tiny amount of power to be reflected down the cable back to the source if it is off. If that is a computer source the computer with receive enough charge to keep the motherboard in a limbo state ‘not entirely off’ and manifests itself as a CPU error on the POST Code. Even if the PSU is entirely switched off. Only after unplugging the cable will it be ok. Otherwise it will fail to boot or even POST after the initial boot-to-firmware.Setting the destination monitor to DP 1.1 as 1.2 seems to fix this problem for a little while.I’m not sure if this will actually allow daisy chained monitors as I didn’t check.Otherwise it seems to be a very sexy looking cable. I’m sure I’ll find a use for it.
