I HAVE BEEN CUTTING HAIR AS A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL FOR 10 YEARS. I live in Arizona and I bought these to keep in Michigan so I don't have to tote my 2x $480 shears back and forth for our summer family visit. Am I pleased???- for the price, absolutely. You are going to have a hard time with them if you are cutting thick/corse hair or pick up too large of a section. Fine hair is pretty close to smooth sailing. I can say that as a professional I was able to use them without much trouble. Yes, there is a GIGANTIC difference between the ones I use professionally and Im not sure they would stay sharp or be able to be sharpened long term, BUT I am happy with them this first round of family haircuts. I imagine they'll do just fine for the 4 haircuts per year. Ps do not try to slide cut with these, many professionals don't have that down or sharp enough shears, don't be that person. ;)

After reading multiple reviews of other barber scissors, I decided to order these since they seemed to be actually Japanese manufactured. I hadn't had my hair cut in over 6 months due to the pandemic and still too paranoid to go to a salon. Thus I needed to cut my own hair.The set came in a very nice case. The scissors and thinning shears worked very well and cut my hair effortlessly. An added bonus was a combination comb/razor included in the set which really helped with cutting my really long hair. Although no lubricating oil was included due to shipping restrictions, that was not a problem since I had some oil from clippers I ordered. I was complimented by my friends on how my hair looked after I was done and sent them photos.

The hole is small, so the thumb does not enter.There is no evidence that it is made anywhere in Japan. No documents are included with the product. This product is very crude.

When I got these I was pleased as far as the looks. As I started to use them the thining pair is way to dull. Can't cut hair with it. The other one pretty good. The case is really good.

This set was a worthy buy for me during this difficult time. Not able to access to salon, I was u able to take care of my hair. That is when I ordered this set. It has all the essential tools to give you a salon finish hair with the help of some youtube tutorials. I would recommend this set as it is really easy to handle, comes with a pouch that carries all the tools in it, the tools are really attractive and what more, its price worthy!!

I decided to buy this since I’ve realized I can just cut my own hair at home and I don’t need to spend so much money on a hair stylist since I am very picky with who touches my hair. I read the reviews before just to have an idea if this was really worth buying and let me tell you it definitely was! Very good quality scissors and shears. I love that it did come with a comb and hair clips as well as the eyebrow comb and razor. Definitely worth the buy and I saved myself some money
