Once inserted this worked perfectly. I required the version with a plastic 'sleeve' that fits over a metal pin. Just remember that the new one has a 'plug' inside the 'sleeve' and you will need rotate the plug so it can be removed to leave the hole clear into which the metal pin will fit. Apart from that, very straightforward to fit and worked first time.

Did the job
These washers are strange looking things. And although I've had the toilet for almost 20 years this is the first time I've had to replace a washer. Anyway it did the job and the tank is filling again normally. Plus I've got a spare now for when I may need it in another 20 years if I live long enough. Recommended.
