I purchased this for someone who has difficulty with tiny font. Also, this version, although not literal, is much easier to understand and relate to. For more exact translation we go back to the original Hebrew and Greek. This is a wonderful blessing.

I love the Passion Translation! The translators have done an amazing job digging into the depths of the original languages. The footnotes are incredibly helpful. The Passion Translation (TPT) has become my favorite translation. The Word comes alive! It is impossible to read TPT without falling more in love with Jesus!This compact edition is lightweight and easy to carry with me in my purse or luggage when I travel, yet the paper is still thick enough to underline and write notes in the margin.

This passion translation is really good it helps me to understand what I'm reading and learning I love the fact that it brings out what is really being said the depth of the word.

Overall: I have been reading the Bible since I could read and this has enriched my understanding. I read this along with ESV daily frequently comparing with NKJV, NIV, NLT, NASB, and WEB. IT IS NOT misleading. Please do your own comparison before following the reviews of others.This has brought LIFE to me in so many ways. It fully agrees with, substantiates, and fortifies the Good News spoken by Jesus.Quality: I've used this mid-size brown "leather" copy every day for a year (as of 02-2021), and it's holding up well! See my photos for wear. I toss it in my tote with other bibles and journals, and while it's getting pretty dirty, it's not falling apart.Size/font: I personally love this size. I have it pictured with an A5 journal for comparison. For someone with good eyesight the font is great. The verse numbers and footnotes are very small. Some of my friends prefer the large print version in order to see more easily.Pages: The pages are not as thin as other bibles, but not as thick as some. I show the front and back of a page with heavy highlighting. My highlighters are not traditional, they're the Pilot Frixion erasable. Ballpoint pen definitely shows through, but no bleeding.If you are determined not to like this Bible, then it will be just a book for you. If you are open to reading it side by side with your trusted Bible I KNOW that the Holy Spirit will guide you into new revelation because 1) that's what is promised to us by the Holy Spirit and 2) the Word of God is the Word of God, and is more full of power than any human can mismanage. To tear down the Word of God is dangerous. To allow the Word to transform us through believing it is LIFE!

I have purchased multiple copies of this translation now. This, like each of the others has held up nicely. I've purchased several of the teal, the purple and this one. The Fuchsia one is by FAR my favorite coloured one. However, be forewarned, the photo looks red online however it is fuchsia pink. (Which was delightful to me, but might not be if you are expecting red.) Good quality.

To all those knocking this version, compare this to the codexes, not other versions. All translations are versions. Just because this does not necessarily conform to what they expect, does not and should not bring scorn or complaint from those who are not really looking for a new translation. After all what is the point of writing, in effect, to complain that is version is different from their favourite version, or versions.AFTER ALL THEY ARE ALL VERSIONS.If you dont like it, no problem, but don't rip it apart on those grounds.Beware the Jewish priests rejected Jesus because they didnt like his version!!!
