Sunday Afternoons Havana Hat - Unisex Fedora

This is a phenomenal hat. I'm one that firmly believes that being trendy is wasteful and being stylish is forever. This hat is classic style. It wears very comfortably, and has a nice wieght that feels good on your head. The materials are durable and have held up to multiple years of wear now. The brim is just wide enough to offer good sun protection and the breathability is very good. The hat can be dressed up or down depending on the occassion. I would not recommend using this hat for spirited outdoor activities. It is not built for that. Walking around the city, a day on the boat, chilling in the cabana, a cookout, yes. Going on a trail hike, jetski, beach volleyball game, not so much.

Amazing hat!!!! It is a very great quality- you can tell that the craftsmanship is amazing and well thought of. The material is not heavy but it’s definitely a sturdy hat. When it first came from Amazon it was all “crushed and misshaped. I was a little upset thinking would never reshape. But it reshaped like new. So I know it will travel well. Also provides just enough sun coverage of the face and neck without being one of those beach hats. And it’s a great style like you can go out shopping with them or go to brunch in urban areas and keep the sun out of your face and not feel like you’re at the beach either. I ordered a small because I have a 20 inch circumference head- and it fits my face and head perfectly. With no movement but not tight which is great. Highly recommend this hat

This hat just spent more than 400 hours folded & refolded in a suitcase every 2 days. It always looked terrific & still does. It was light on my head but has a good brim that shades the whole face.I never write reviews but this product truly earned its 5 Stars!

I purchased this Sun Buddies packable, woven paper Panama for travel so that I wouldn't destroy my good hat, and was very pleased with it in general. Don't let the "paper" composition that some reviewers cite deter you, as this is the composition of ANY packable hat (and many non-packable ones as well). It is high quality, tightly woven, durable and retains its shape very well - the equal of any similarly priced straw woven hat, and probably better. The internal sweat band is also a nice addition and of high quality. It is handsome and the medium sized brim shapes nicely to be either flat brimmed as illustrated, or with a more stylish "front-down, tail-up" look of a fedora. I actually received a number of "very nice hat" compliments from and even a couple of inquiries from the Roman's we encountered in our visit.As for travel packability, I was pleasantly surprised. Simply folding the side brims up and gently collapsing the crown length ways along the center crease made a nice package about a foot long, 6 inches high and an inch thick that fit nicely in my carry-on. I tied it loosely around the middle with a cord, and it easily unpacked into it's original shape. It survived 3 weeks of heavy use and packing in 95-degree weather in Italy and still looks like new. I don't think I would recommend folding this tightly flat or rolling it for packing in luggage, as it would probably crease and would need ironing or reshaping to get the creases out, but you could certainly try. I like mine too much to subject it to that.The one major criticism I have (and the reason for 4 stars) is that the woven paper strand are of such high quality - very tight and heavy duty - that this hat is quite HEAVY and HOT compared to most summer straw hats, and has very little little ventilation as a result. Yet, I'm glad I had it for a hot and sunny trip and will use it frequently in the future.

Good quality but needed a bigger box

Great value for a daily wear hat. The natural color is perfect for warmer climates and does not stain as easily as other hats I've owned. Extremely comfortable and it has become my daily wear fir most of the year in the South.

I bought a few different brands for comparison since sometimes the sizing on these hats are a bit off. This is actually a good hat as far as materials and craftsmanship and it will definitely protect you from the sun but you will feel the weight after wearing it for more than 30 minutes. It may just be a personal preference but the weight of a hat on your head can make it irritating after a while.

Bought this for a late June visit to Las Vegas and it did not disappoint! First, it's stylish. I was definitely dressing like I was on vacation and this went well with all my Hawaiian shirts. Looked great with a pair two tone brown leather Sperry slides!The hat is a bit heavy if you're not used to it, and I definitely sweat under it if there's no breeze, but it absolutely kept the sun off me. I'm fair skinned and fry pretty quickly but several hours in the Vegas sun and this hat protected me every time. I even got it wet in the pool on accident and immediately set it flat to dry and it didn't even leave a mark. The adjustable headband makes for a perfect fit. Great Hat!
