Life changing! World transforming! Mind expanding!
These 2 volumes make clear that, in general, we have no idea who we are or the scope and breadth of our consciousness. Also makes clear why so many of our technologies are without heart or wisdom and only separate us ever further from our source, our power, our very selfhood. These technologies, to name a few, include social media, virtual reality, biofeedback, Facebook, our cell phones, the ilk of Ray Kurzweil and their reductionist view of life and mind, genetic engineering, and on and on. It also becomes clear (by extrapolation) why we are such a greedy, covetous, bellicose species; and why, in our desperation, we take drugs as we mindlessly clutch for the wholeness that, at some deeply buried level, we intuit must surely be there. In this and so many other regards we have everything to learn from the countless "savage, uncivilized" species that are struggling for their rightful place on this planet. As Seth says (speaking of our species): “…if you did not feel the need to kill animals to gain knowledge, then you would not have wars. You would understand the balances of nature far better. If you did not feel any need to destroy reality (in your terms) in order to understand it, then you would not need to dissect animals, hoping to discover the reasons for human diseases. You would have attained a living knowledge long ago, in which diseases as such did not occur. You would have understood long ago the connections between mind and body, feelings, health, and illness. I am not saying that you would have necessarily had a perfect world, but that you would have been dealing more directly with the blueprints for reality.” And: "Unless man also identifies himself with the other kinds of life with which he shares the world, no technology will ever help him understand his experience. I am speaking in very practical terms. Gadgets will, ultimately, teach you nothing about the dimensions of your own consciousness. When you use them (biofeedback, for instance) even to attain alterations of consciousness, you are programming yourselves, stepping apart from yourselves." But a couple of random quotes cannot begin to do justice to the breathtaking vistas Seth reveals to us; vistas unexplored by any other source that I know of. The 24/7 barrage of news shows telling us how dire matters are have zero to do with safe-guarding or enlightening us and everything to do with the control and homogenizing of whole populations through fear (not to mention the greedy clamoring for ratings). Our educational system is anything but; for the memorization of data--which its methods effectively block anyway--has nothing to do with wisdom or an awareness of the heart that is our one possible salvation. Our government and its mass of laws inform us of how wanting our inner wisdom and sense of morality are; how powerless we are as individuals. And so we are governMENTALized. That thing we take for granted known as the military--how does anyone, with unbiased forethought, truly wrap their mind around the fact that such a thing exists; or the notion that weaponry and armed forces equate to anything resembling safety; or that it's anything but the lowest, vilest level of egomania? The very creation of weapons of destruction makes their deployrment inevitable. Ah, but even if one can begin to glimpse the imbalances, savagery, and mindlessness of our global culture and its ideologies, Seth, unlike this rant, imparts a depth of wisdom with love, kindness and a greatness of heart that you must read to begin to appreciate; and reading these wonderful volumes is to experience a uniting of both our logical and holistic processes. It is a path to the ineffable where the greatest wisdom lies.

Five stars, seems five too few for such a wonderful read...
Unknown Reality Volume 2 and both Volumes is a must read for any Seth Reader. I would recommend starting with the first published Seth Book, Seth Speaks and advancing through the material as it was published chronologically though before jumping into this meaty entreaty on how to begin to conceive of the unknown reality, or other planes of existence within our universe. Jane Roberts, is in my mind the best 'channeler' that our 'history' has ever known as I feel that she is more free from so much distortion that can come through in channeled works. Certainly the best English channeler that has ever lived, and in a sense still lives on her and her husband Robert F. Butts' ledge of space and time. Her entity, Rupert is as Seth puts it, "very elastic", and in my opinion very clever as well for manifestation of a personality into physical space time that could utilize abilities that our species has subdued for centuries in a culture so adverse to trusting subconscious drives and mystic states of consciousness. Robert Butts deserves many accolades for encouraging her creative and inner abilities, as well as impetus for many of the subjects that Seth covers through his love of learning, and inquisitive mind that sought truth, or at least a version of such that felt more naturally acceptable on a personal level than that which many of us are still indoctrinated with as the acceptable. Some readers may struggle with the material, then again as in my case some may feel as I have that this it something that they knew at one level or another, perhaps early in childhood and had forgotten with the beliefs that being raised by those who can only accept that circumstances creating the events that compose a life experience are created from the outside universe and felt within instead of the as above, so below metaphysical view that we create our own realities individually and en masse. In the latter case the words that Seth dictates will naturally spark an awakening of these old thoughts through a genius associative process.I am interested in speaking to any that can discuss the topics by putting them in their own terms, as in many discussion forums and groups dealing with The Seth Material the so called experts can seemingly only regurgitate quotes and iterpret the subjects literally. Of course, I may need to reasses my beliefs in that respect. Happy Reading! I hope many more can find as much to help them understand the uniqueness of their personality as I have.

Although it sounds like it refutes Jesus
These books open up a truth about spirit world. However you do have to keep in mind your own faith and what you believe as foremost.I am a spiritualist anyway so its information sits very well with me. If your reading these without spiritual knowledge as In psychic meaning, they can be insulting to mainstream religion but you have to bear in mind this information is coming from spirit and how we interpret their meaning is hard to do sometimes. His view upon Jesus is where it can be difficult to grasp but you have to understand why it gives this information. Although it sounds like it refutes Jesus, it actually does not! You can say the same about other religions as to their views upon Christ. They are pretty deep in knowledge is what I would say. I would loved to be able and sit with Seth and ask my own questions, because there are points of spiritualism which need real guidance and can be actually frightening to grasp, so this technical level I would find brilliant. As far as I am concerned both volumes are a must read.

For those on their spiritual journey this is a very interesting read...
This is the second half of Unknown Reality. Very well typed on proper paper, correct typing and excellent if not overly-comprehensive footnotes. A must read for those who can think outside of the box.

Unknown Reality, Vol 2
A continuation of the previous review. The book continues to be thought-provoking, with some interesting new facets. The psychology is occasionally difficult.
