I got this thermometer for $8 recently (without a coupon), so my star rating is based on that price. I see it's now back up to $16, but who knows, maybe it'll go back down.Anyways... The thermometer is pretty light, very quick and seems to be of solid construction. The accuracy seems ok, though I need to do a little more empirical testing to be sure. Of the 5 people in my house, it measured 3 of them as having a fever (in both ears, with ear to ear on the same person varying by only 0.6º maximum). That's good, because 3 of us are currently sick!When I say it's quick, I mean barely 2 seconds quick. With a newborn and a toddler, that's a fair advantage over other inexpensive measurement types.It comes with a little weighted base, and a clear cap so it can be stored vertically. The display is back-lit and sufficient for most ambient lighting conditions, but don't expect to be blown away by it.One thing that I don't like is that it doesn't come with batteries. They are AAAs, so easy to find, and of course with the price that I paid, I'm not surprised there were no batteries, but still it is nice to be able to use a product like this out of the box.All in all, I'm happy with it. As long as it lasts a while, I think I got a good deal on it!

This thermometer always says everyone in the house is between 97.1 and 97.7 degrees. None of my family runs cool as this would indicate.

Easy to use and figure out. Seems to get the right temp. I have taken my son to the doctor after using this and they get the same reading that I did at home using this. Have had it for 3 months with no problems and haven't needed to replace the batteries yet.

This is very inaccurate!! I switched it from dregees C to degrees F. It stays my temp is 102.6 degrees F in one ear and 101.2 degrees F in the other ear. I checked my oral temp with my usual thermometer and it says 98.5.

Just came in yesterday and so far it works great. Having a chronic illness, I need to check my temperature regularly and it read my base temp. accurately. Took a second to figure out how to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit by the directions provided but followed what someone else had posted on here and it was actually super easy.

This thermometer DID NOT WORK AT ALL!!!!! Sent it back for a prompt refund.

I managed to get it to read in Fahrenheit, but it doesn't seem accurate. I'm going to give it a try by letting it rest for a day in between readings and see if it calibrates itself.

Fast, efficient, and accurate. Very nice.
