Glad to find these
Glad I found these to update my existing fixtures that were 40 years old, pitted, rusted and corroded. Perfect fit for my fixtures. Same size and function in all dimensions. Thank you for making these available. So much easier to change the fascia than to change the entire fixture. Now for some comprehensive details...In my house, the fixture above my kitchen sink is not frosted, whereas the 2 outdoor fixtures are frosted. So this design appears to have came in both configurations (decades ago). If you want a clear version, then either remove the frosting as mentioned by other reviews or have a hardware store cut a new piece of clear glass for you. Or use a piece of clear polycarb (but definitely use lower temp LED lights if you go the polycarb route).I also agree with others that the frosting on the glass is more excessive than the old frosted versions. The old versions blocked some light, these new ones block more. Unsure if the term "block" is correct. Perhaps "diffuse" would be more appropriate. About as much as a sheet of copy/printer paper. I prefer the frosted look, no glare, so I am not going to sand off the frosting as some have suggested. I guess I could swap over the glass (same size). All you need to do is bend the tabs to remove the glass. But my old glass inserts were scratched up from age. Instead I just upgraded from a 60W equivalent LED bulb (650 lumen) to a 100W equivalent (1000+ lumen). Now they are plenty bright. The amount of additional power used is trivial (a few watts more) but will produce much more light while retaining the frosted appearance. Just be sure to use LED bulbs rated for enclosed fixtures (cheap bulbs may not be rated and will live a short life). The white finish on the metal frame appears to be durable, similar to powder coating. Time will tell if these will hold up to outdoor use (sheltered from rain). Online specs say they are rated for damp locations, but not wet locations like a shower or pool. I suspect this has more to do with blocking water ingress (safety) than corrosion protection. These are not sealed to be water tight.

Does what I needed.
As other buyers had said, this was the only light cover I could find to fit my retro ceiling lamp. And I don't have the energy to do a whole new lamp remodel. It was easier to install than I expected and fit perfectly.

10 stars
Just what I needed and even happier with what came! Love the clean crisp new look, the old one had several coats of paint. Couldn’t find in stores and was hesitant if this was even what I needed. Metal frame, frosted glass center, flush mounting with spring clips that hold it the housing in the ceiling. Just perfect!!!!!!!! Pictures to come 👍🏼

I made it work
Originally I went looking for a cheap plate cover for an ancient/noisy, cheap/plastic, yellowed/busted, bathroom fan/light that was 'born ugly' back in the early 70's. I was amazed when I couldn't find one (i unplugged the useless, rattling fan motor and just wanted the light). Then i saw this cover and it looked "period correct". It's actually higher quality than I expected (or needed).I had to Dremel off two of the metal brackets and I added my own adhesive insulation strips, bent the sturdy tension clips to my purpose (7.5" width I the clips, I needed 8.5"). It barely covers the original ceiling hole cut but it DOES work. Looks MUCH nicer than the bare bulb with rat insulation poking out ;)

Perfect!
This light cover is exactly the same as the one it's replacing. I thought it would be impossible to find. This is great. Thank you.

Fits and looks great!
Almost identical match to the original 30 year old spring-pin fixture covers for my suspended ceiling fixtures. I have recessed cans installed within lightweight fiber 24x48 Armstrong drop ceiling panels. Much improved over looking at the naked bulb! Thank you!

bought pre-owned
these are nice frames. However, I bought "pre-owned" because they were advertised as like new or very good. Well, I guess that my opinion of "like new" or "very good" is different than the company. They came scratched, bent, paint chipped. I bought 16 of them. Not all were this way but the majority were. Very disappointed.

Fragile is an understatement…needs additional foam inside to block light
So, I’ve purchased 15 of these in the last three months to replace existing light covers in my (indoor) pool area that had been there since the mid 90’s. Three of them were cracked and flaking paint and had to be returned. The new covers have greater light diffusion and a more crystallized/sparkly pattern, whereas the old ones had more of a linen pattern in the glass. The other difference is more significant: the foam insert is very thin and allows light to escape under the metal, making them appear a poor fit (even when they are fine). Fitting extra weatherstripping inside fixes the problem, but it’s an additional cost and effort. All in all, a necessary frustration to avoid replacing 15 light fixtures mounted in a lacquered wood ceiling…

Good fit
I used these covers to update my old lights. I wasn’t sure if they would fit because they are not made for the brand I have, but they fit perfectly.

Decent quality
Was a perfect fit for an old hallway light from the 80's

restricts the light quiet a bit
very well made and high quality and looks great but the lens is very thick and it's shade level restricts light output...

Could have been a bit bigger. But works.
