Sponge base is layered and as such it partially separated all the way around in various layers during its first use. It us still useable, but it's days are definitely numbered. Great idea, just let down by poor quality of sponge.

Arrived in time. It's a well made brush with a tough foam base, good cleaning tiles and tub with low pressure. Had bought two and happy with them.Update :they are not very sturdy though. The scrub part has opened up
