I'm a homeowner who likes to do my own work and this set-up provides needed safety when working on the roof all day. I've found I can tie-off to a standpipe and the rope doesn't slide up the pipe. The brake feature works immediately and you can only move along the rope if you are actively trying to advance the brake through the rope. Like a deadman's switch, it stops movement unless you mean to lengthen or shorten your play. The rope is plenty beefy so I can use it to lean back or grasp it to help walk up a steep pitch. Using it in conjunction w a fall arrest harness. Recommend.

It does nick up kinda easy so watch out for sharp corners & edges. It works as described and it makes OSHA happy, that's all that matters.

This was a good purchase. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is the tension grab is not as smooth as some, still great but actually probably a safety feature. The rope is high quality, might buy a few more just to have around. I would recommend this for sure.

I use these lines on a roof. Much better then then three strand that I have purchased at my local hardware store. Excellent quality. Much better then what I thought.

I thought switching from twisted rope was the right thing to do but forget it.. I don't know if it is just mine but the slide grip on the tether is terrible and slips easy then having the fall arrestor on the tether is the worst idea I've ever seen! The arrestor location makes the entire system cumbersome and keeps your static line under your feet where it doesn't belong!
