Ancient Graffiti Solid Copper Birdbath with Iron Twig Stake

So glad we purchased this birdbath - 4 years ago. Happy to see they are still available. Ours is in great shape. The best thing is it is lightweight and easy to clean. Ceramic and glass birdbaths easily get broken on windy days from falling limbs, etc. This holds up. The patina changes over time, but still looks great. It balances on the unique metal stand so you have to set it just right, but it stays put. If it got knocked off, it wouldn't break. We keep a rock in our birdbaths to give birds a little perch, as you can see in the photo.

I was looking for Birdbath that would be durable, unique, classy and low maintenance. This birdbath checked all the boxes. It arrived in perfect condition in a heavily protected box. I see no manufacturing issues. The twig stake is iron and the birdbath is indeed copper. Both have a protective finish. This is not a real large birdbath but the perfect size for my needs, which is in a small bed along my front walkway.I used a post hole digger to install about 8 inches deep and it took 2 minutes. It will not shift as there is a second ground pin as part of the stake bottom. The copper birdbath sits sturdy but is secured by its own weight and any added water only. I suppose it could be further secured somehow with perhaps Velcro or gluing fasteners on the underside of the copper bath but most reviewers say it does not blow off in strong wind so we shall see.Now is the price, just a tad under $100, worth it? I think it is. If you check the cost of anything made in real copper like a light fixture, etc. you realize that copper anything has gotten expensive. Copper will not fail outdoors and can age beautifully or be cleaned up as well. The iron stake can be refinished with something as simple as a can of spray paint. Heck you can even change the color if you like.Bottom line is that it is simple to install and maintain if and when necessary. That means I'll spend my time enjoying it like the birds are doing every day!

Unfortunately this product description is not clear that the copper bath is coated with a toxic finish. It is not raw copper, which is desired by the birds/animals. It also notes, "Ancient Graffiti solid copper birdbath". The copper bath has no "Graffiti" or anything. It is perfectly smooth. The copper also was damaged as shown in my photo. There was a blemish and hole in the toxic copper coating. Based on the cost of the copper bath and stand, this poor quality product is very over priced.

This is a nice-looking bath, even though the "twig" stake is just bent iron...use your imagination and it looks twiggy enough, I suppose. It's easy to put together and surprisingly stable. However, "my" birds will not bathe in it. They will drink from it, but will not bathe, whether because of the slippery sides, the shiny metal, or whatever, I don't know. I had to get a stone bird bath, which they love to bathe in. I kept this one, too, because it looks nice and they do drink from it. But my advice would be to just put the money up front for a good stone bath--won't break in winter and birds prefer the stone surface.

Shabby. Either they forgot to weld pieces on or thought using a little orange glue to construct their metal $85 water basins was a great idea. Part was already off when I unpacked it - completely unacceptable. Returned for refund. Avoid.

I like everything about this little birdbath. I was looking for small to match my small garden sitting area, and this little gem filled the bill perfectly! The plain, simplistic style is exactly what I needed to not overwhelm the small corner garden area. It came packed well for shipping, in a box that was designed to not crunch up in transit. There did not need to be much interior fill packing due to the design of the box, the pieces being individually boxed inside of the shipping box. Nothing was bent or damaged in any way. The "stake" design was quite unique too...all in one piece, it kind of unfolds to form the bowl holder/support. Once placed into the ground, it stays put! Mine has been in place since it was purchased a couple of months ago without a single adjustment necessary to either the bowl or stake. I love it!!!

Just received this lovely birdbath. It is perfect for our yard, a bit rustic and yet a bit classy. We already have three other birdbath's in the backyard (including a heated version) but wanted something a little nicer for the front yard. I've placed it right by the spigot so it will be easy to fill. I figure a little fresh water everyday is the least I can do for these lovely creatures.Seems very well made and came almost assembled, just one easy piece to move into place. The copper bowl is a good size and sits very stably in the base. I don't expect to have any problems with tipping.

It's a very pretty birdbath for the many beautiful cardinals, bluejays, and other birds in my yard. Upon putting it in the Florida sand/soil a part of it snapped off, right under, wear the bird bath sits. The solder didn't hold and the other areas look like they could fall off too. There is no sense in returning it as I'd have to pay for shipping. Not worth the money in my opinion.

This is a unique bird bath - minimalist in its design, and classy in appearance. Because our front yard is exposed to the street, we were a little concerned about security, because the base is designed to be pushed into the lawn/ground, and the bowl is very easily removed from the base. However, in our case we installed the base in the stump of a dead tree we had removed a year earlier, so it is very secure. That said, the ease with which the attractive bowl itself can be removed remains a point of some concern. But it looks great!

This is a very pretty bird bath but it is much smaller than it appears, so it needs to be re-filled several times a day. I have yet to see a bird using it, but the water keeps disappearing!
