Don't believe everything you hear on YouTube video.
1. Put together in 20 minutes, wrong!!!!!!2. I had to replace both the tiller tube bolts as the ones supplied were stripped.3. You better have a air compressor as the tires come flat ( all three).4. Forget about the tools they sent, you will need some good stuff to get this thing running.5. After 4 hours in the Atlanta heat I finally got my scooter together and running and I am having a blast. It is so much fun, really fast. Yes there were a few issues as with anything but it was worth it. As far as I am concern I made a great purchase, just hope it holds up.

Most versatile scooter.
It can zip across the parking lot in medium speed and cruise the grocery store in low. High speed really scoots down the street. This scooter put our Pharmacy and the hardware store within range of home. It is light enough to easily load onto a small trailer to go grocery shopping. The Challenger trailer is an easy way to increase load capacity to shopping cart levels.

It Won't Climb at All
On February 25, 2021 I made close to a $1500 mistake. I bought a Tope Mobility Challenger electric scooter. To get into my patio there is a 13.5 degree ramp and I wanted something that would climb that ramp. I am 84, on oxygen and need some help getting around and the Challenger’s specifications looked perfect for my needs. They said,” Power to climb hills to 17 degree angle”. It won’t climb at all! Challenger is front wheel drive and all the weight is over the rear wheels, so when the scooter meets any kind of resistance the front wheel just spins for lack of traction. The front wheel also spins if you give it a little to much power to start moving. I put a couple gallons of water in the basket to add some weight over the front wheel and it did help on start up, but it still wouldn’t climb. The specs. Say, “Maximum Load Capacity: 300 lbs.” I am 6’2” and weigh 200#. I would be surprised if the scooter could get under way at all with another 100 lbs. on it.The deck is 32 inches wide for stability, so it is too wide to fit on most mobility scooter carriers. This means you have to come up with some other way of transporting the scooter. You could never take this scooter into Wal Mart (for instance). It is too powerful! If you could ever get it started on their smooth floor you could never get it stopped. This scooter should never be advertised as a mobility scooter. It might be OK as a recreational scooter on level ground, but if you wanted a recreational scooter you could by a Drive Medical Zoom Three Wheel Recreational Power Scooter, Red for half the price. It also has better ground clearance.I was so interested in getting the thing to work that I let the 30 day period pass in which I could return the scooter. Believe me when I say the Top Mobility folks are strict on their policies. I was willing to settle for a half price reimbursement, but no deal. I felt that the problem was a little bit their fault because they had said the scooter would climb when it wouldn’t.My recommendation is, “Don’t buy a Challenger!”.
