I bought them as Christmas gifts for 4 grandchildren that drive. I was amazed as to how strong they look for the price.

I bought these to keep in my car for emergencies. For shop use I would probly recommend you get a heavier pair as these are rather slim, but the build quality actually seems quite good. The coating is nice and flexible (will be interesting to see if they stay that way in cold weather). The clamps are well constructed with nice teeth and a powerful spring. Also their slimness does make them quite compact. They also threw in a drawstring sack and pair of jersey gloves, which I thought was a nice touch. Just jumped our pickup. It didn't start right away but after lettin it sit for roughly 15 minutes it popped right off. Im guessing the less than instant speed is because of the narrow gauge. Still tho for only twelve dollars the build quality is impressive, and since I don't plan on using them often it's a good little pair to keep in the trunk for emergencies.

These are nice cables. They are not super thick welding wire jumper cables by any means, but they are clearly marketed with the correct specifications. These cables should work fine in any situation involving jump starting cars and light trucks. Dr. Emmett Brown would not use these to jump start the time machine since they are not flux capacitor rated cables. The bag that comes with the cables is very nice and will help avoid the sprawling cable situation that inevitably happens in a trunk with unbound jumper cables. The gloves are very nice, although my girlfriend liked them so much that I gave them to her to wear in the cold months. Very comfortable woven gloves with grip studs on them. I am happy with these cables and would recommend them to anyone needing some. They are a reassuring thing to have in the car.
