Star Wars Black Series Secondary Alien 1 Action Figure

Awesome figure of a guy who didn't make the final cut
Poor Constable Zuvio... Imagine it, as an actor your dreams came true and you got cast in the new Star Wars movie. You spent long, grueling 16-hour days on set in the freaking desert in Abu Dhabi wrapped up in armor in a fright mask with a metal wok strapped to your head, but hey it was worth it, you were living your dream. You were featured heavily in the marketing, in books and magazines, you had two action figures made of you. You were gonna be HUGE! You told all your friends and family, all the ladies suddenly found you interesting, you invited all of your jealous buddies to the premiere with you and.....CUT OUT COMPLETELY!!! Not even a line credit on IDMB to show for it!You wonder to yourself if it was something you said. Did you get caught looking down Daisy Ridley's tunic? Did you shake J.J. Abrams hand too firmly? Were you mean to Carrie Fisher's dog? You (and we) will never know, but you will never be able to walk through the toy section of Walmart, Target, or ToysRUs again without being haunted by piles of these little effigies of your broken dreams glaring back at you. But I honor you sir, and think of your tale every time I glance at Zuvio standing on my shelf with that bewildered bug-eyed stare of a man wondering how it all went sideways. In all honesty, this is actually a really great figure; great articulation, fantastic paint apps and weathering, far above par for Hasbro's hit-or-miss Black series 6 inch line, cool accessories. The guy's head is oddly shaped but it's intriguing to wonder what the rest of that face looks like under the veil, but not nearly as intriguing as wondering what this guy's story was and why we never got to see him. There are many who claim that the guy with the similarly shaped hat in Rey's vision sequence being run through by Kylo Ren was him, but if you look at a screen cap of that shot you can see that it clearly is not. Anyway, this one was unjustly deemed a peg warmer since he first came out and his stock is not destined to rise anytime soon. I imagine his price will drop significantly and he'll eventually sell out, but either way, I'm still glad I got him.

Great Looking Figure, But Not a "Must Have"
This is a great looking figure. Considering the fact that he/she has near no screen time in the movie, it still satisfies me as an addition to my Black Series collection. I'm a bit surprised that Hasbro even bothered to produce this character in the toy line. I would imagine that they would know their customers a little better. Instead, they recklessly made a figure that the mass audience doesn't know at all. I'm sure that they knew that this would be a peg-warmer, how could they not? Regardless of that, it is still a great looking figure.Constable Zuvio's appearance looks like it was inspired by medieval armor, judging the helmet, armor and clothing's style. Fun fact: This style of helmets were designed like that so that it would protect the head/body from arrows traveling downward. Don't quote me on that. The face of this figure is rather strange, all you can see is the eyes, which are yellow. this character is clearly an alien. My only gripe is that I wish the eyes looked more angry. The rest of the face is covered by a mask. The mask has some nice paint and a great looking mold to it. The armor has a red and green color scheme, what's great about the paint on the armor is that they applied some silver paint brushed around it to make it look metallic. This works VERY effectively. This is a great example of how great silver dry brushing is great. Under his/her armor, he/she wears a poncho-like dress. This has some great paint effects added to it that resembles dirt. The poncho is even molded to make it look a lot like cloth. The overall getup definitely looks like someone straight out of a dessert, or the planet, Jakku. Constable Zuvio comes with two accessories, a backpack and a staff. The backpack has some excellent silver dry brushing to it. Its clear that it is supposed to be made out of metal. This accessory has an antenna on it. This piece always seems to be warped in the packaging, it may be meant to be like that. So if you receive this figure with a bent antenna on your backpack, your not alone. This accessory can be attached to the figure with the aid of clamps that wrap around the waist. These clamps are painted tan. His staff is VERY good as well. this accessory has a fantastic sculpt and great paint work. The staff has multiple different color and texture variations throughout. It has a sling on it for looks, this is too small for it to be carried on the figure's shoulder. This staff has a great looking blade at the tip. The sculpt on this detail makes it look like it was hammered into that shape. This has very chrome paint, much shinier that the Captain Phasma figure's armor. As for play value, this does not offer any gimmicks. This line of toys is created to have figures with good detail and articulation. This can be given to a child if desired, this is marketed as a toy after all. Although, it is likely that the accessories will either be lost or broken overtime. Overall, this is a VERY nicely detailed figure. To be completely honest, don't go out of your way to buy this figure. To me this is just a character to buy if you want to complete a Black Series collection. As a character that doesn't have role in the movie worth mentioning, you wont have a strong sentimental connection with this figure. He/she hardly has a background role in the film. In fact, you will need too keep a very close eye to catch him/her on screen. This figure is for the completionists. I hope I have helped you out. Thank you for reading my review!

Kung Fu Master Constable Zuvio
I purchased this figure because I happen to really enjoy the Star Wars Black Series 6 inch figures due to the high quality of materials used in their construction. While I still have little knowledge of Constable Zuvio, I can confidently say that this figure is awesome up close. I happen to be a fan of late 70's and early 80's Kung fu movies, and Constable Zuvio reminds me of a Kung fu master. At 5 inches tall, he is a heavy little figure with piercing yellow eyes which peer out from beneath a red and green helmet and covered mouth--full of secrets! The sculpt is excellent giving him rich character, while his body is fully poseable for those who enjoy building dioramas. The only part with little movement is his head. He comes with two accessories, a spear and backpack. Excellent paint application, excellent purchase for the price, and he stands as perfectly and bravely as any medieval Chinese warrior. This purchase was a wonderful surprise, and I hope he is added into future Star Wars films so we can see him in action.
