CAVEAT EMPTOR: HOOKER SOLO!!!!!
This is a great collection of original recordings from the 1948/1952 period, HOWEVER there is NO "Coast To Coast Blues Band" featured on these recordings!!!!! So, if you want solo Hooker this will fill the bill, BUT if you're looking for Hooker backed by a BAND check out the awesome URBAN BLUES, THE CREAM, HOOKER & THE HOGS, HOOKER & HEAT, IT SERVES YOU RIGHT TO SUFFER or NEVER GET OUT OF THESE BLUES ALIVE!!! (P.S. If you get THE CREAM make sure you get the TWO cd version!!!) 'Nuf said! (P.S.S. THE VEE JAY YEARS 1955-1964 SIX cd box set is a TREMENDOUS collection of Hooker backed by various musicians!!!)
