A good ending
A good ending to a good series. As with all Nora Robert's books, everything can be fixed with great girl friends, wine, shoes and yoga. Hope came into her own and I love it. We finally found the story of Lizzy and overall a good story.

The Perfect Hope, A Review for The Blog Bodice RIppers, Femme Fatales and Fantasy
The Perfect Hope is the third and final installment in Nora Roberts' The Inn BoonsBoro trilogy. A trilogy about three brothers raised in Boonsboro Maryland, working in the family business and the women they love. This is a heartwarming and wonderful series and as in all of Nora's books, wonderfully crafted characters. In this book we find Ryder and Hope, as this is a trilogy we of course expect this relationship it's not a surprise but watching the two of them come together was a wonderful treat.Ryder, grab your Websters look up strong silent type and look at the picture. I am sure there is one of Ryder right there. A gorgeous man, a working man.. a man with a tool belt and I am so not talking Tim Allen here. This is a man who loves his family.. His respect and admiration for his mother is a beautiful thing, his relationship with his brothers, yeah people we all want to see this type of relationship in our lives. Add that to his strong sexiness and you have a man of serious appeal.Hope Beaumont, city girl, elegant, classy and she has a shoe closet to die for. When her life was upturned by her smeazy boyfriend, she was offered a position to manage the Inn in the town of her college best friend. As far as Hope is concerned it's a win win situation. She isn't looking for romance just a chance to start over and the Inn is a fantastic option, getting in at the ground level is something of a dream come true.Sounds wonderful doesn't it? and it is.. there are just a few things that bother me. Nora Roberts has told this story before, well sort of. The arc that ties these three books together is the family is renovating an Inn and find a ghost on the premises. A ghost looking for her lost love.. and together they start a search to find him and this bothered me because it had strains of Rafe MacKade and the Brothers MacKade series.. Civil War era building, sadly ignored, someone determined to turn it into an Inn (or bed and breakfast) a ghost roaming the house missing her lost love and the gang all gets together to find him for her. It isn't like Nora to repeat herself this way.And yet... maybe this is a subject near and dear to her heart, maybe she has intertwined pieces of herself deeply into these two stories. She is after all a mother of sons, she does live in Boonsboro, MD so living with Civil War era buildings, stories and yes probably ghosts is not unthinkable. So maybe she is writing what she knows.. yes this is conjecture, my thoughts on this book. With all the discussions I have had on this book, I seem to be the only one drawing this correlation. Maybe it's because I have been a die hard NR fan since 1981sh and I read Irish Thoroughbred.. or maybe because I fell hook line and sinker for Rafe MacKade.. but to me the similarities abound..With all that being said, this was an absolutely FANTASTIC book. Hope and Ryder were amazing characters and there were some scenes that made me laugh, some that made me swoon and yes some that made me cry. Watching how these two strong individuals allowed their shields to drop, finding their way to each other. These are not two broken characters, scared from a bad childhood, life, whatever. Nope these two are real.. yes they have history, they are functioning adults in today's society, if they didn't have pasts they would be boring. But they connect in ways that few characters ever do. They give us Hope that we can be ourselves and still find love. That is one of the best things about Nora Roberts, the woman writes strong women. Flawed ones, ones rising from the ashes, nice ones, sarcastic ones, human ones. Her women have integrity and a bone deep ability to be true to self and Hope is one of the best. There are some scenes that will eventually wind up in the swoonroom, I promise but for now allow me to describe a couple.. Hope having just been accosted by her smeazy ex walks into the middle of the street does a grab and yank on Ryder and whispers go with me.. right before she lays one on him.. yep right smack dab in the middle of small town America.. imagine the phone lines *grins*.Shauni

The Perfect Hope and The Perfect Conclusion
THE PERFECT HOPE was a wonderful conclusion to the Inn Boonsboro Trilogy. This is Hope and Ryder's romance. It is also the conclusion to Lizzy and Billy's story. We have been watching Hope and Ryder spar and interact since the first book of the series - when they are not avoiding each other. They seem a very mismatched couple. Ryder is not a talker or fan of social interaction. He is abrupt and brutally frank. Of course, he is also handsome, loyal, hard-working and surprisingly perceptive. Hope is an innkeeper. She is beautiful, smart, socially adept, hard-working and loyal to her friends. Hope seems to Ryder to be a sophisticated city girl. Ryder prefers spending time at his house in the woods with his dog Dumbass as his only companion. It was fun to watch Hope and Ryder's relationship grow and see it transition from a strictly sexual, no-strings-attached relationship to a deep loving one. Of course everyone around them could see where the relationship was headed but both Hope and Ryder were stubbornly refusing to see.Hope's former boyfriend - the jerk who was stringing her along while pursuing a relationship with a woman in his social class - shows up. Jonathan tries to lure her back into her old job at the family hotel and into a new, formal relationship as his mistress. Hope is angry and insulted and turns to Ryder to show Jonathan that she has moved on and chosen someone better. Ryder is willing to play along since he has been reluctantly attracted to Hope since she first came to Boonsboro. The relationship escalates when Jonathan's new wife comes to town and accuses Hope of having a continuing relationship with Jonathan. She throws a fit and actually slaps Hope. Since she chose to have this fight in the parking lot of the inn, she has quite an audience including Ryder who is rehabbing the building next door and Ryder's mother who is Hope's boss at the inn. Ryder takes it upon himself, without consulting with Hope, to deal with the problem of Jonathan and his new wife. This creates the biggest conflict in Hope and Ryder's relationship because Hope is angry that he didn't talk to her before taking action. The resolution of the on-going plot of the ghost who haunts the inn and who is searching for her lost love is also resolved in this story. I will have to say that the resolution brought me to tears. Roberts has a way of writing emotional scenes that always works for me.The strengths of this story for me were the the strong relationships among the characters. Hope and her best friends Clare and Avery, Ryder and his brothers Beckett and Owen, the brothers relationship with their mother, the women's with their men, and especially the relationship the brothers had with Clare and Beckett's three young sons all added to the story. This whole trilogy was about building the bonds of love and family.Fans of contemporary romance and fans of Nora Roberts will not be disappointed in this final book in the Inn Boonsboro series. I loved it and look forward to reading the whole series - THE NEXT ALWAYS, THE LAST BOYFRIEND, and THE PERFECT HOPE - again when I need some feel-good romance.

Great ending to the trilogy
Four point Five stars. The Perfect Hope is book #3 of the Inn at BoonsBoro trilogy. I do recommend these books are read in order to get the most from the storylines.Book three is Hope and Ryder's story. Hope is the Innkeeper and the attraction between the pair began at first sight, but both are stubborn and would never admit to it. In fact you'd think Ryder couldn't stand Hope, for all his rude behaviour towards her.The Inn has a ghost and everyone involved wants to try and help solve the mystery surrounding her. Lizzy may be a ghost but she is also a romantic and she shows her hand once more giving Hope and Ryder the push they need to get together. They have a fiery relationship but one which has deeper connections than even they can guess.A great ending to the trilogy. The setting became so vivid I want to travel there today and meet these delightful characters.

great end to trilogy
This is the last book in the Boonsboro trilogy . Principally this is the story of Ryder and Hope but all characters from previous books play a major role in this one It is always nice to continue the story of well liked characters. As ever with Ms Roberts the characterisations are very very good. Children are excellently portrayed and even the dogs and the Inn itself seem to personalities.I,d like to live there and certainly stay at the Inn. The plot is predictable but pleasant to read. The sweetness of the romance is balanced by the doses of vinegar particularly from Ryder but from other sources too. There is laugh out loud moments of humour. Of course Lizzie the ghost plays a prominent role but can they find her Billie for her? Not usually a fan of supernatural but this is dealt with so beautifully and integrated so well into the plot that it is good to read. This has been an excellent trilogy. I have enjoyed all three books and Ms Roberts held my interest throughout.

The best in Boonsboro Trilogy
I love strong no nonsense characters and this third book in Nora Roberts Boonsboro Trilogy highlights two characters with these attributes. The third brother in the family building business is Ryder hard, with a tough exterior, moody, not prone to social niceties but underneath is searching for his true soul mate and once found is loyal and true to that person. Hope is the manageress running the Inn, hired by Ryder s' mother. She is independent, strong, single minded and very attractive. Ryder is bothered by her but why? She seems to irritate him no matter what she does. But when they get it together sparks fly. This book also concludes the ghost story which we are introduced to in book 1 and that ending is very profound and moving, particularly for any war veterans or relatives of same. I could not put this one down and found it to be on a par with book three in the Chesapeake quartet, if your a Nora Roberts fan this is one for your collection.

Boring but not unreadable
Unfortunately the book was a bit boring. I found myself skipping a few parts because the writer was focusing on conversations that were, from my point of view, indifferent to the plot. There were simply too many details and boring conversations.SPOILERI usually like this type of books and genre but having three books (trilogy) with similar stories, i thought was a bit of a stretch. It's a good idea describing a story of three friends and focusing on each one at each book, but all of them ending up in marriage and having such a repetition to the storyline was a bit too much for my taste.I don't think i would seek to read anything alse from this writer.

my favourite
I love this trilogy and this final part the best. There’s lots of lovely details of the Inn and the daily life of the Innkeeper, a wonderfully satisfying love story, and a romantic ghost story - it’s got it all. I have the kindle book, and the audible audio book, and revisit regularly.
