Easy and pretty
This is my first time ever trying nail dip powder. It was way easier than i was expecting. I watched a few vids on YouTube before doing my manicure and feel like they really helped.Photo: Fairy Cotton 024 (color) 2 coats of color with 2 top coats -also note that this is my right hand (Im right hand dominate) and my right hand always looks way worse than my left. But i think this turned out great and just as good as my left hand!!Tips I followed: 1-washed my hands really well and allowed nails to dry for about an hour (I feel like this was excessive so in the future I'll probably only wait 20-30 mins) 2- very lightly buffed nail, like only one pass over my nails. 3- I used a peel coat before starting dip process. 4- I used the pour method instead of dipping (I poured a bit of the powder into a coffee filter, then used a long faux nail as a tiny scoop to scoop up the powder and pour it across my nails). 5- I wiped my applicator brushes on a clean paper towel before dipping them back into the bottles every time at every step.I definitely recommend this dip powder and will be picking up more 🖤

Takes a little practice but worth it!!
So to start - I have been a devout user of gel nails for years, I have my own kit, i'd get it done in the shop, I loved it! I had seen these dip kits advertised before and since the whole kit was the price of one manicure - I thought, why not try it. The first time I did it, I put far too thick of base coat on and boy those nails were thick and unevenly thick at that! I I was though impressed at how fast it was though! The gels take me about 40-45 minutes to do and these took about 20! Unlike the gels, these weren't *technically* dry instantly, they were solid and dry probably 2-4 minutes after the final top coat application so I was perfectly pleased! Anyway, so I left the thick nails on just to see how they would last, so I put them to the test - doing dishes, touching them a lot, picking at them and I didn't have my first chip until a week and a half! So I'm sure they would have lasted much longer had I been nice to them! The next time I did them, I did much thinner layers and they turned out perfect!! These ones lasted perfectly 2 weeks before I had to remove them for a work thing. For removal, I'm irresponsible and just pick them off and so basically I just slid something narrow under a loose corner of these and they popped right up! Yes there was still some damage but much less than with the gels and you couldn't even really tell by the next day! I plan on giving out this kit to some people for Christmas because it worked so well!

CAUTION:: Glass of #2 bottle is weak at the neck
I’ve used many different brands of these kinds of products over the past 20+ years. I’ve also been in a pinch and resorted to superglue many times. I am well experienced in maintaining proper closure of these caps. However, this #2 Dip Base was inconsistently gooey and stringy from the moment I opened it.I made it through one hand. But after spending so much time cleaning up the mess that the stinginess caused with each application, I decided to clean the bottle lip and the inside of the cap with the brush cleaner and do the other hand the following morning. Unfortunately, the next morning, I discovered that the darn Gorilla had come into my house overnight and completely sealed the cap to the bottle. At this point, I had a choice between throwing a “brand new” product away or try with some effort to open it.So, I chose to apply the effort to open it andUnbelievably, the glass at the neck of the bottle actually snapped off 😟😵In aprx 3 seconds… this stuff was bonding my fingers together and burning my nose and eyes. That’s when I realized this was nothing more than a glorified superglue. It has aggravatingly taken several days to wash and scrub all the instantly dried glue from my hands, wrists, arm, counter top and floor.I’m quite disappointed that I only got to do one hand-one time. But I’m actually VERY concerned that the glass is fragile enough to snap apart at the neck. Any manufacturer of this kind of product should be 100% fully aware that ‘some’ effort ‘at times’ will be required to open it. If I hadn’t had the knowledge and coordinated ability to keep the bottle and the cap in precise vertical alignment when attempting to open it, and if it had not snapped apart relatively straight, I might have cut myself badly. After saying all of the above, I have 2 points to end with..1. In my lengthy experience, I am apt to believe I received a spoiled package. Believe it or not, I’d be willing to try it again, but there is no return/refund option on this product. So, I’m done with this brand entirely.2. Most importantly, if you decide to purchase this product….PLEASE PLEASEbe SUPER CAREFUL if you have to apply effort to open #2 !!!
