Good quality at an Exceptional price
Great product.PROS:COST is a definite plus. Less than 1/2 the cost of 3mm underlayment at a local "Big Box" store. Cost of 3mm thick underlayment at Big Box store is $54.99 for 100 square feet. It does have a grid pattern on it that this does not have. That is $.55 / square foot. The cost of this on Amazon is $41.99 for 200 square feet. That is $.21 a square foot. You decide if pretty lines are worth $.34 a square foot. They were not to me. For a comparable price at a big box store you are buying 2mm underlayment at it is still $.30 / square foot ($.09 more than this). This is the best price on underlayment I have seen.QUALITY: Seems to be very good. I was concerned because some indicated that the tape that is built to hold them together was not very good. I have laid four rolls of this so far, and have had no issues with that. This seems to be as good a quality as other products that are similar. Held up well during installation, even by an inexperienced do-it-yourselfer like me, and some of it remained uncovered for over a week between the time we put it down and actually got it covered. There was no visible wear or damage even though it was exposed in a high traffic areaCONS: None so far (unless you really need those grid lines to help keep things straight - recommend you use a chalk box with a tape measure and a square instead!)INSTALLATION: We are using this as underlayment on engineered click and lock hardwood flooring (3/8") thick and it has been great. We are installing on a particle board subfloor that is 30+ years old. When we are in the basement (floor below the one we are installing this on) this really helps dampen the sound of people walking on the hardwood floor. Also has helped reduce or eliminate some of the squeaks in the subfloor that it was covering (again - the original house is 35 years old and the nails in a lot of the subfloor are loose so it was very noisy before we put in screws and added this padding). We are not using this on concrete, and are not using it in a bath / shower area, so we cannot say how it will work in those areas. However it is in our Kitchen, main hallway, entry way, living area and dinning area, and it seems to work great.Would definitely purchase again if we needed to install more flooring.

Professional grade product at reasonable price
This is high quality underlayment that has just the right thickness to dampen the sound of laminate flooring and not feel mushy when walking over. It is easily installed and has a tape strip on the underside that is painless to seal to adjoining rows. Most of the underlayment at the big box stores are double the price for thinner underlayment and require the purchase of expensive, overpriced tape. This underlayment unrolls flat and appears very durable. I have some areas that have had the underlayment applied, waiting for over a week for me to cover with the laminate as I am working on other areas. I have walked on same daily and created no problems or torn areas. The company sent an email with links to professional installation instructions and delivery was within two days after ordering. Considering that the price is half that of the big box stores, thicker and not requiring the purchase of binding tape, there's little reason to not to buy this product.

Priced Right and Gets the Job Done
This was my first time doing a laminate "floating" floor and this underlayment was just what I needed with amazing value to boot. I'm that annoying combo of completely amateur DIYer, cheap, and willing to research. I'm going to do it myself even if it doesn't look professional and I'm going to pinch as many pennies as possible along the way. This product was most definitely the best bang for my buck for this project. Anything the local home improvement stores were carrying that was in this price range was thinner and without a vapor barrier. I only even needed 300~ square feet but buying 2x200 of this was still the right choice value-wise.I was slightly worried about potential shipping damages based on some reviews but both rolls arrived unblemished and ready to roll out. Random, but the cardboard did sorta stink. I dunno, maybe there's moisture in the warehouse or something. Either way, the rolls were wrapped in plastic and thankfully didn't absorb any of the smell. There was some uneven and jagged cuts on the first few feet on my first roll but nothing that would take it outside of working margins.I really can't overstate my satisfaction on this purchase. Never thought I'd score something in this category on Amazon, or online at all. Was just on a whim while trying to do some research that I decided to see if Amazon had anything of the sort. I'm glad I did. Thumbs up.

Great stuff, best deal for this thickness, I think it's worth it to go 3 mil instead of 2 mil
If you're planning on the supplied tape already attached to stick to the floor, you may be disappointed. Maybe if you clean the sub-floor so you could eat off of it, maybe. I had hoped it would, but it comes right up.Having said that, it sticks great to itself when its time to line up the next row of material. It has a drop-cloth type of plastic sheeting of a few inches sticking out past the edge so you can tape the next row to that and leave a tiny gap so not to overlap and keep from sliding around. Turns out you really don't need to tape all of it down to the floor. However, I was using for second story which has wood sub-floor and not as exposed to moisture like a concrete first floor would be exposed to. I think you're supposed to buy some red tape or something designed for this purpose and really tape it down and seal on a concrete floor.Other than that, it came in nice condition. It came fast, best deal on the web! I shopped a bunch for this stuff. Way cheaper than it was a Lowes or Home Depot and thicker than their cheapest stuff. Probably as good as their stuff that was like double the price or more.
