It works for finding things you get a general hit on with your big detector. If I had it to do over again, I'd spend the extra $10 to get the water proof one.

Excellent quality pinpointer. Super accurate. My sons (age 12 and 7) have become amateur metal detectors and use this constantly. We have 14 acres that was a homestead in the early 1900s and they are finding all kinds of cool stuff. They even used their metal detector and this pinpointer to find and dig out a bullet from a hillside that had gone through the black bear I shot last year. I knew the general area where it should be and they found it in 5 minutes. Buy with confidence.

Great for pinpointing objects. My wife lost her wedding ring in the yard on the 4th of July. I used my metal detector to close in on it and found it with the pro pointer. A must have for treasure hunters or finding your wife's​ lost ring.
