Getting enough fiber in your diet is hard enough. The wife and I are older 65+ and it seems like our digestive systems don't work as well as they used to. We have looked around for a good fiber supplement, but ones like metamucil have too many artificial ingredients (coloring/flavorings) so we look for something a little more natural. These fill the bill. They are easy to take and do a great job. If we miss taking these for a day or two, you can really tell the difference. The capsules are not overly huge and because they are rounded on the ends, they go down pretty easy.They are also convenient - especially when traveling. The wife takes 3 a night, but I take 5 since I am a lot bigger than her. It is easy to throw the bottle in your luggage when you travel. This product works great for us.

This is my favorite brand of Psyllium...Yerba Prima. I have tried other brands, but I have come to the conclusion they must have fillers in them because they do not work like Yerba Prima.I will always try to just buy Yerba Prima Psyllium.

So, I was to the point that all I could eat was veggies or I could not poop. I only take 5 of these in the AM and I have NO problem!! YAY!! Natural and effective!

I take 5 pills, 3 times a day with plenty of water. My poops went from sludge to clean sweeps. Highly recommended, get it (or the bulk version).Notes/comments:1. Check your grocery store first, I am able to get this (and the 12oz bulk stuff) for about s.i.x. bucks each.2. If you don't notice a difference, you probably aren't taking enough. I started with about 3 pills 2x a day...unremarkable. Upped it to 5x3 and there was a significant improvement. I may need to take one or two more pills per dose, but I am going to switch to the bulk stuff given how much I need to take.3. The nutrition info says there are 2.2 grams of fiber per serving of 4 pills. The typical adult supposedly needs 14 grams of fiber per 1000 calories, yet we typically only eat 15 grams of fiber a day! That's a deficit of at least 13 grams, or 24 pills (2000 calorie diet)!Nevertheless, this is great stuff and it's cheap enough to warrant giving it a shot. That's what I did, and I don't regret it one bit!

I am currently on a low carb diet and my tummy was NOT happy. I did some research and found that psyllium husk was one of the best fiber supplements to get you back on track. I am not much into the fiber mix drinks so I opted for the capsules. I LOVE these. Truly. The capsules are not huge, and that is great because I have trouble swallowing large pills. I haven't had any negative side effects (gas/bloating etc) and this may be tmi but everyday is like clockwork! My stools are larger than average, but yet I'm in and out in less than 2 minutes. It's a great feeling. I take these before or after a meal, twice a day. If you're opting for weight loss I would recommend before your meal and be sure to drink a lot of water. The recommended amount is 8 oz, but I usually try to drink at least 12-16. After taking the supplement and drinking the water, I find my appetite greatly reduced. My stomach is noticeably flatter. I will be buying THIS product in the future, because it works and also because it is way more affordable than most of the psyllium husk capsules I have seen.
