Yes, it's that good!
My first review in nearly 16 years of consistent, high-volume AMZ purchasing: this coffee is that good.I'm a rather discriminating person in general, but especially with regard to coffee beans. Over the years, I've come to enjoy medium roasts, hand burr ground, brewed at appropriate temperature for bean varietal, only by immersion techniques 2-4 mins (according to flavor profile sought). Brewed in this manner, DT Nicaraguan proved to be super tasty: smooth, moderately full-bodied, lingers without even a hint of bitter oils, hints of both nut and caramel. You can drink this every day, for every occasion, by simply playing with the time of brew, method (French press, aeropress, "clever dripper" immersion/pour-over hybrid) and amount of grounds.I work in an environment with many coffee lovers (each brings their own favorite brew methods and beans). When I shared this coffee (brewed in a Clever Dripper using the "201 degrees F/bloom 30/total time 3:30-3:50" method), to person, all agreed that DT was the best AMZ-ordered coffee they've enjoyed. Unfortunately, they later complained that AMZ had none left when they tried to order it.I now have more Don Tomas enroute, so I will update this with respect to its consistency. Finally, I am a big fan of Valhalla Java by Death Wish Coffee Co, but find it has two strikes against it: 1) price, and 2) Don Thomas Nicaraguan!

The best coffee money can buy for a price tag that is genuine on sharring the good taste.
If you're looking for a perfect coffee, without a high-end price tag, this is the coffee you want. The flavor has a little bit of everything, stable bold not overly intense bitterness, only a hint of what they call "citrus" flavor, basically very lightly sour to compliment the addition of milk to the coffee. Smooth wake me up, people who have good taste, and don't wish to have that nasty after burp should try this coffee. I've tried all kinds of coffee in different price ranges, from cheapest to the priciest. So, giving this a 5 star definitely is a right decision, would be great to make mild Spanish Latte if it were a little more roasted for enhanced boldness, but it is great right where it's at, if you drink pure black every time or time to time. I will definitely order a few more batches to keep. Thank you.

My new favorite coffee
I just got to try my Don Tomas this weekend. My first happy expierence was how user friendly the bag is. Easy to open with a ziplock closure. I bought the beans and I was very happily surprised at the wonderful an distinctive taste their Nicaraguan coffee has. My favorite coffee has always been Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee but it is hard to get the real thing and it is very expensive. Now I don't have to rely on that chance of getting ripped off by an imitation Blue Mountain coffee because now I have Don Tomas! Thanks! Ken Wood, Baltimore

Fabulous black! Great smell and value
I searched for a coffee that tasted good black (as I’ve wanted to cut out sugar and cream). This one came up and the great reviews and reasonable price sold me. The coffee smells PHENOMENAL in the bag and truly produces a smooth, almost creamy, and satisfying black coffee!Great value for such a big bag. I will be buying more today!
