Bosch: The Complete Works

I always had preconceived notions about Taschen until I was gifted their reproduction of the Divine Comedy as done by William Blake. Was absolutely blown away by the level of scholarship in the text and the reproductions themselves. I have now found out that this level of quality is the norm for Taschen's historical art books, a few bad apples not taking away from that...The scans are great, some of the close ups are odd choices considering some of the things left out (the famous Egg Man baffled me), but it is an absolute skeleton key for any fan of Bosch when needing reference with scholarship on top.

Just got this book today and am blown away by the print and paper quality. Seemed a bit expensive but with this book in hand it's worth every penny and then some.

GREAT PURCHASE

If you are buying this book because you love the work, it's worth it. If you buy it for the center giant fold out that supposed to be in the book, don't bother. It isn't there.
