The "Walrus" Wide Grip Stainless Steel Double Edge Safety Razor + 5 Stainless Steel Razor Blades From the Handlebar Shaving Company

I didn't expect too much for this as I had 2 other razors that I have grown to like. I did know that I chose this one in particular because of the weight. I have a Merkur HD which was my go to but after 2 days using this one, I may have found my new go to.I use a Feather blade and use various types of shaving creams. The first day I did a traditional bush as creme with pre shave oil. At first I didn't think I had the angle correct because I couldn't hear the cutting of my scruff. To my pleasant surprise, it worked really well being very gentle and non aggressive. The second day I used it in the shower. What I noticed in the last 2 shaves, is that I only did 2 passes (with and side of the grain) with a clean up pass only. Normally, I have to do a third pass (against) and then multiple clean up. The closeness of the shave is unmatched compared to my 2 others.The appearance is nice and uniform. I love the grip of the handle. Even with tons of lather in my hands, it always felt secure. My Merkur HD has a slick handle that I had to put sugru (moldable plastic) to give me some grip.I really recommend this and I would venture trying out their other selections soon.

In terms of quality, the weight of the handle relieves some of the pressure needed for a smooth shave along with less aggressive angle closed comb head. On top of that, the knurling on the handle also provides good grip even when its wet and the quality on the satin finish for the handle was executed excellently. Also note that the stock razor head this comes with, could also be replaced with a different one as long as the threads match up.Overall, this is a great razor for those looking for a heavy weight handle.

Heavy, thick and works great with Gillette Silver Blue blades and pre-shave oil. I have XL sized hands, and I like the added dimensions of the handle. Overall chrome job is even and has lasted nicely after two years of use. It has never slipped out of my hands when wet. Very happy overall with this purchase.

A handle this size is just plain overkill. Not my style but it still a nice stainless grip. Not a bad shave.

Love the feel and weight! Finish is very well done. Took a try or 2 to get the blade centered but gave a great shave otherwise. Would be nice to see a more positive centering of the blade but overall a GREAT razor!Fast shipping and very nice packaging!
