Igus RJZM-01-08 DryLin R Straight Linear Bearing, 8 mm ID

Installed these on my Prusa MK2S bed, worked perfect. Smooth and silent printing and easy to install.

I used these to replace the LM8UU bearings on the Y-axis of my Prusa i3 mk2. They did make the motion quieter, but they are sloppy compared to the LM8UU bearings. That is, there is play between the 8mm guide rod and the bearings. This allows a racking motion in the Y-axis during high acceleration or deceleration movement. This makes for some sloppy prints...Needless to say, the noisy (but tight) LM8UU bearings are back in the printer and these IGUS bearings are sitting in a drawer unused.For anyone who may be thinking about these, they are also 0.5mm larger on the OD. No mounting issues, but your build platform goes up by 0.25mm with these installed. Re-calibration of Z-Axis is necessary...of course anytime you take apart your 3D printer, calibration will be necessary after reassembly.

But, I reworked two parts on the X-carriage assembly, installed them and they are working great!

Aluminum shell helps with deformation. So far they are super good (slick and quiet).

Great linear bearing for my 3D printer, just wish it was cheap enough to replace all my linear bearing with. Movement is smooth and quiet. It is about 1mm larger OD than the standard steel ball linear bearing.

Does not fit prusa mk3s.

I've used these in the past and have been very happy with them. Same this time round. They are low noise but do not distort due to the integral metal frame.
