Exactly what we wanted from a kotatsu table
We don't have a big space in our living room for a kotatsu table, so had pretty specific requirements - this table met them all handily. Not too big, but big enough for two to dine at? Check - this is around 90x50cm. Portable? Check - the folding legs made it easy to put away when we needed to free up the living room space. Solid? Very - no wobble, flexing or any other signs of instability whatsoever. Warm? Yep - with a blanket set up and the heater on, our legs are nice and toasty in all of a couple of minutes.Add in the fact that it looks good to boot, and suffice to say we're very satisfied with our purchase. It's not the cheapest, but you can feel the quality throughout the build. Where I live, power is supplied at 240V so I purchased a 1000W step-down transformer, and it works flawlessly with the heater so all good there. Definitely recommended!

Great Kotatsu!
I love this table! It is very warm and all my friends LOVE using it when they come over, it’s made my apartment the hangout spot! It looks great when it’s not in use too, when I take the blanket out it looks like a stylish coffee table. I like that the cord can easily be unplugged from the heater so that you’d never know it was a kotatsu when it’s unplugged. Also, it folds super easily for transport! If you’re looking for a kotatsu in the U.S. this is the perfect one to get. The only thing I will say to be aware of is the oak color is different from the pictures on here. I was already aware of that from other reviews and it does not bother me.If you’re in the U.S. make sure you get a step down transformer from 120V to 100V. I linked the one I purchased here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07F1G8NBP?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_titleThis one should be fine for this table because the table uses 300W and this transformer is for 300W.

LOVE
Had this for a few years now, great quality, easy to use. I love the herringbone wood pattern, I would def buy this again! I also loves that it folds down. The comforters are so expensive with it so I just use a king sized blanket with it and it works well.

Looks great
I've been wanting a kotatsu for while, but I didn't want a cheap-looking one. This one looked like it would fit into my decor of mostly honey colored and lighter woods. It arrived and met my expectations completely in that regard. It's about the size of a small coffee table - which it could certainly double as. Two people could sit at it and share tea, but they might be a little scrunched if they were going to spread out their homework. My daughter and I have used it together with my laptop open and her books open, and while we didn't have a ton of space, we managed well. She commented that it was the perfect size for playing cards. My only disappointment was that the instructions didn't come in English or with very many pictures. It's not like it's hard to set up, but I would like to make sure I understand the product warnings. Finally, I did buy a separate transformer to deal with the difference in currents. I know others have commented that they've used the kotatsu without a transformer, but that seems dangerous to me. I suggest the 1000 watt transformer. (they aren't as big as they look in the photos.) The one I bought was a piece of crap - all the soldering had broken apart during shipping - but that's a product review for another vendor.

I adore this kotatsu
So, so happy to have finally bought a kotatsu. It's a beautiful piece of furniture. If you've been thinking about it, go ahead and get one. It's the perfect size for one person, but three guests can enjoy it without too much trouble. The heater itself is textured with a soft lining which is an excellent detail. The step-down power converter I had to buy separately was a little scary to figure out at first, but I haven't had any issues with it over the past few months. Also I love the fact that the power cord is completely removable, so I don't have to have a table with a plug dangling from it through the summer months. One thing to note: if you are using thicker floor cushions with it, it might be a bit of a tight fit between the cushion, your legs, and the heater itself.

definetly worth it
Works like a dream! Really well suited for the colder climates and folds up to get out of the way when not needed. What else can i say aside from it suits my needs perfectly!

Nice table, but the colour is not true to photo
The craftmanship of the table is nice, but the colour was not what I expected at all :( it’s a lot darker/yellower/brownish than the photos. I wish the photos reflected the actual colour of the table more. Also there are weird grains running through the table which I absolutely hate..

Warm Kotatsu for One
The kotatsu seems pretty sturdy and was easy to set up. The voltage transformers on Amazon didn’t seem to be very good, but I was able to find a 1000W one on eBay for about $60. This kotatsu can sit two people under it fairly comfortable. The dogs and cats also like to join underneath whenever the heater is on. When it’s not winter, I take the futon off and just use it as a small coffee table.
