Buy don’t delay it’s very good
Phenomenal artwork and storytelling, I was amazed at how good this book is, it was great to read and be able to see in the graphics what a dark and horrible future the imperium holds for mankind

A confusing mess
I've been a fan of the Warhammer universe since the mid-80s. During that time, I've watched it grow and evolve to the point where you need at least a bachelors degree to understand what's actually going on. Warhammer 40K is probably the worst offender. If you're looking at this book, you probably know the background story. The not-so-human race is fighting an endless war against everything that the God Emperor may or may not like. This is up for discussion, because like several other gods I might mention, his will is interpreted by the clergy, as the God Emperor is basically a vegetable, kept in stasis by technology. Anyway, humanity is basically trying to kill everything in the galaxy that isn't human. So far, so nazi.Cue this complete mess of a comic book, which tries to follow some completely incomprehensible storyline about a female genetically enhanced supersoldier, that may or may not be the focus of the God Emperors will, or a champion of the rest of the lot. Or something. You never quite understand what's going on, because the storyline is like a 4-year old trying to tell a fairy tale. The artwork was apparently black/white in the original version, but is now like said 4-year old has been let go with finger paint, and grandma has tried to fix it in Paint 3D. It is impossible for me to make any sense of what's going on, who comes and goes, what the plot is about, and how the hell this utter mess has managed to trigger a 20th aniversary hardcover edition.
