Provoke Professional Gel for Mouse Traps, 2 Oz

Not sure how many stars to give as rats have not gotten to our tunnel traps yet. We live on the Gulf Coast. Traps are set on our deck. Problem is that during the day squirrels that are nothing but furry rats keep trying to get to the Provoke. When they push the trap around it goes off. That means I have got to get out the Havaheart trap and eliminate them. Then at night Pine Roaches clean out the Proboke and the peanut butter. We all know roaches will eventually take over the world so night trapping is out. That high rise condo is looking better and better.

All of a sudden I saw some mice. I read up on how to catch them; watched several u-tube videos etc. I even glued a small piece of pretzel to the trap. One guy swore by chewing up a tootsie roll & putting a small piece on trap. Another so called expert swore by Fluff; so I tried that. NothingTried all sorts of recommended things like: marshmallows; pretzels; peanut butter; tootsies rolls; fluff spread and several sprays for mice. In other words--smells that mice don't like. One spray keep them away for an hr. The other sprays were a waste of money. I even tried the bait as to what they where eaten. I would trap one here and there, but nothing was really working. So I thought I'd try this item.I set two snap traps side-by-side---3 inches apart---against the wall . One trap had peanut butter fresh and the other this lure. They never touched this lure but the peanut butter worked each time.This item was a waste of money. Does NOT WORK and shouldn't be offered to consumers to buy!!NOT RECOMMENDED!!

I, my wife, and our two babies have been sharing our home with a mouse for the past week. I set out 6 or 7 glue traps with dollops of peanut butter on them in various parts of the house. After a week there was evidence that the mouse had at one time been stuck to a couple of the traps but found a way to get itself off. I knew I had to bring out the big guns.I'd had a 100% kill rate with a rat zapper out in my woodshop the previous winter, so I thought I'd put it to the test on the mouse in the house. I used rubber gloves when handling the trap to make sure that my scent wasn't stuck to the trap and deter the mouse from facing its doom. Through the back of the zapper I inserted the Provoke tip and dropped two dime-sized drops of the stinky cheese-smelling Provoke onto the rear of the zapper. I set the trap down and went to bed.Less than 10 minutes of laying in the bed had passed and my wife says "did you hear that? Sounded like a high pitched squeak..." I got up, checked the zapper, and the green light is flashing. I thought "no way this stuff worked that fast." Sure enough: dead mouse inside. After disposing of it I thought I'd leave the trap out overnight just in case there were more mice though I didn't suspect we had more than one. This morning I check the trap - green light flashing. Another dead mouse.So to clarify, I added NOTHING else to the zapper than the Provoke. No peanut butter; no vanilla extract; nothing. Just virgin plastic and two small drops of Provoke.This is going to be my go-to for mouse traps going forward for sure!

Baited 4 traps this morning. Have not caught any mice yet! Maybe tonight, or tomorrow, or the next day!

Didn't work for me. We had an enormous mouse problem this past year. I've been using a few different types of humane traps. I thought maybe this stuff would do better at attracting them but they didn't go in at all. I watched a mouse walk right by the entrance to the trap without even paying attention to what was inside.I'll go back to peanut butter and cheerios.

We've used plenty of peanut butter to try and draw the mice in. No luck.....We put traps everywhere and just couldn't catch any. We waited for a few months and the lingering traps just didn't seem to entice these little guys.When we started using provoke we caught a mouse almost every day and FINALLY have to restock up on traps.This stuff works, and it works really really really good!Here is what I learned:Use gloves when you are setting up any traps. Humans stink...yes, that means you! You may not realize it, but your body has a distinct odor that will cover the traps with your smell. (Mice know this and will avoid the traps that smell too much like humans) I believe provoke counters this, but I didn't care to experiment.I use gloves when setting up your traps. If you get provoke on your gloves, perfect! Rub some extra on the trap.If you know the mice's runway then set the traps there. This is important! If you set the trap in some obscure place there is less chance of success.I feel like a professional exterminator now! But...I'm not, and I just wanted to share my experiences and how awesome this stuff has been!I typically don't write reviews, but FINALLY!!!! I finally have been able to get rid of theses pests that have been making noises in my walls! Muwahaha! It's such a good feeling to check the same mouse runway and say "another one bites the dust!"I had to come back and re-edit my post ...5 mice in 3 days with provoke. Before it was 1 mouse in 2 months with good ole peanut butter.

You would think that a specially formulate liquid that attracts mice would work. But as many other reviews stated, this does not work at all. If anything, it makes the glue trap look more suspicious. So I have to give this one star. It simply does not attract mice here in NYC.
