Useful tool
This is a very helpful tool if you use several needle files, otherwise it's a novelty. I find this saves space and money (for me!) - I have a couple dozen needle files and having one interchangeable handle that fits my hand is more economic than having one handle for each file. It also allows me to keep them organized because they fit into a more compact space & I can actually see them instead of a mass of wood bulbs. The tool is comfortable and even on all sides. It is sealed nicely and I have no complaints on the construction. I have a small hand and it's a touch larger than I need, so it should fit well for most. The screw mechanism works well, my only thought is that maybe I'll oil it to prevent it from tightening too much. This fits a standard size needle file and my finer Swiss handles are the smallest it will accommodate. This is too big for any micro needle file. The drill hole is long inside the handle. If this tool is not suited to your work style, it's really worth putting the money elsewhere. Tools cost a lot and there are always more to buy. If you could benefit from this, though, I would recommend it. I might upgrade in the future but I expect I shouldn't ever "need" a replacement.

Added control, great grip.
Great grip on this, feels substantial in my hand. Easy to control small needle files.

Good quality, locks down solidly on 1/8 needle files
For decades, I have used 1/8 needle files with no handle. Why? I don’t have a good answer. I finally bought new needle files and they have knurled handles.I make custom Japanese knife handles weekly and the bolster between the handle and the blade requires significant hand filing so that the blade entry to the handle looks flawless.I found out quickly that the knurled handles on the new needle files are tough on fingers. The new files definitely needed a handle and this Grobet wood handle was an ideal solution.Best tool acquisition under $10 in decades!

Decent handles!!
These are nice size and comfortable and I would purchase again. The only thing was, my grobay USA needle files did not fit so I enlarged the chuck with a drill bit.

Excellent solution for cramped tool storage - removeable
Love that this has the collet; I can store my files in a roll, and use the one I need at the moment. Good wood, seems to be solid and well made.

Wood handle for Jewelers files.
I received a wood handle that is great for the Jewelers files I have. Equipt with a solid compression grip to hold the file solidly. Thank you!

Decent handle, but room for improvement
Overall, the handle is decent (though kind of expensive given the two downsides). Two problems come to mind immediately1) The shoulders on the wooden handle near where the metal collar is are hard and sharp. They need to be chamfered unless you want to give yourself blisters. On the upside, if you're buying this for needle files, you probably have the tool that you need to chamfer the handle.2) The collet is not as adjustable as I would have expected for a needle file handle. On smaller files, there can still be a little play once the nut is tightened completely. It will still work, but you have to be mindful if you need to rotate the file mid-stroke.
