Cutting hair time in half!
I’m so glad I asked for this for Christmas! LOL I really wanted it to cut down on straightening time with my flat iron.. well it works! It takes me 2 1/2 hours to straighten my hair with just my flat iron. It took me 1 hour to do my hair with the Tymo brush. Then it took me about 7 mins to go over my hair with my flat iron because I wanted a straighter look. Make sure you brush your hair before using!!!! This was so fun to use! I feel like the straightening effect is more of like a blow out, but it does straighten a lot. I have like 3a-3b hair that’s a little past my middle back when straight. Loved the swivel effect, makes it easier to hold when you’re getting the hairs in the back & your arms are up in a funny angle. The heat could probably be bit hotter for some people..but I’m using it with a flat iron so the heat is fine because then i don’t want too much heat damage on my hair.

This works for Type 4 Hair if You Do It Right !
This product is fabulous and has been invaluable to me during the pandemic. I am African American and have lots of 4b hair. Whoever says this doesn't work on heavily textured hair over 3c probably isn't doing it right. It's really the inside back of the comb that's got the heat, just like a pressing comb, so you have to really apply some tension... put your back into it! Hold the end of your hair tight and then start at the roots. Don't just comb it through like a regular comb, hold it and slowly pass it through your hair for like 5 to 7 seconds from root to tip. Use small sections. You might need a couple of pass throughs, but honestly, when I was done I looked like I just came out of the salon! For me it takes me about an hour and 15 minutes, my hair is almost to the middle of my back. I use the glove because it does get hot, and I use the highest heat setting. Make sure you use some heat protectant, I use this argan oil heat protectant from Amazon before I blow dry, and my hair doesn't turn out greasy at all, it's like a silk press. I like this better than flat ironing because I'm not coordinated enough to do the chase method, lol, and this seems to get it straighter. However if you have short hair I'm not sure how this could work for you because you do need to use the ends of your hair to hold it taut. Also as some reviewers pointed out, it doesn't do the ends as well because of this, however, my curl pattern is much looser at the ends than at the roots, so this isn't a problem for me and should be ok for most, just make sure you blow dry your hair first to loosen the curl. For the blow dry I use the Revlon black and pink blow dryer that looks like a paddle brush, another game changer! Some other cons are the location of the buttons, you do end up accidentally turning it off sometimes, and the teeth are difficult to work with and it can be hard to get your hair between them and to the back of the comb. All in all I love this product, especially the beautiful storage bag, great glove, clips, and rapid heat up. Even though I can go back to the salon now, I will probably use this and do my own hair every other time to save money. Thank you, Tymo!!!

This really works!
I bought this Tymo Ring tool after watching a video on Facebook about a young lady using it on her long thick curly hair. I was impressed but still skeptical. My daughter has very very long, thick and naturally curly hair. She struggles with keeping it smooth and not frizzy. We would blow dry her hair straight with a round brush and it would take over an hour to get her hair straight and even then it would develop the frizzies after about a day. Now she is able to let her hair naturally dry on its own and the next day (or whenever it is completely dry) she can straighten her entire head in less than 15 mins. This product DOES work! She and I were both blown away and how easy it is to use, how fast it works and the instant smoothness she gets as the final result. Always, Always, Always use a heat protectant product on the hair prior to using this tool as it does get very hot when applied to the hair. It does come with a heat protecting glove which she sometimes uses, but not always, a brush (which is also pretty awesome) and 2 clips. I would recommend having extra clips on hand if you have longer hair or alot of hair. She loves it so much that we opted to get her a second one to have as a back up for traveling. She opted for the limited edition Elegant Gold one and it is stunning! We highly highly recommend this tool! Also check out the Tymo Heat Protectant Spray with Argan Oil! It smells amazing and leaves a beautiful non greasy shine!

Great Value Silk Press
To begin, my hair is 2C all around, but my curls are really tight. So, my hair experiences a lot of shrinkage. My hair may look like it belongs in the 3’s, but it doesn’t. I have S curls all over my head. My hair is fine, but it’s thick, so volume is easily achievable. I have pictures of after, and of before I’ll start with the Pros: - it’s not easy to burn yourself with this brush. The casing around the brush insulates the heat. The only time you truly feel the heat is when you put it on your hair from the roots, which you’re supposed to do. - it only took one to two passes to get it straight. - it gets hot very quickly. - it does what the product claims: this will straighten your hair. - my hands easily pass through my hair. No knots, no tangles, nothing. Now, the cons: - No matter how small my sections were, I could not get a really good silk press. Maybe it’s my technique, I’m going to keep having a go at it when the weather is chilly so that I don’t waste a silk press in this Miami weather. - I could not get to the roots of my edges because of how the brush is designed. Simple fix is my hot comb, or not caring. I chose to not care lol. Cause end of the day my edge control will fix that. - my hair had a lot of volume after using the straightener. But as said, it’s because it wasn’t a genuine silk press. My hair still had the appearance of a very good blow out, just less shrinkage and slightly straighter. I tried this product on blow dried hair. I wasn’t sure of doing it on freshly washed hair. That will be my next attempt sometime next year when the weather is cold again to keep a silk press going. For now, it’ll get its 4/5 stars because it’s still a good product. Just currently overhyped.

Better Than Any Flat Iron!
I have thick long 4c hair which I've recently been straightening more often. For the past few years I've been using the Xtava Infrared Flat iron. While the flat iron did straighten the length of my hair really well I was never able to get close to my roots without the fear of burning my scalp and for someone with super coily hair thats important. While the flat iron didnt cause damage to my hair it didn't really add any extra luster to it either. I love this straightening comb because I was able to get super close to myscalp in all sections of the hair even right behind my ears . Not only did it straighten it but it left my hair feeling very soft and super super shiny. Its been 5 days since I straightened it and my hair is still soft and shiny.Another nice thing is the time in which I was able to do it. With this tool I can use larger sections and actually I've found it works better with slightly larger sections I guess because there is more tension between the bristles? Anyways I love this product and probably wont be going back to a flat iron anytime soon..........Oh another thing to note. Before purchasing this I had read reviews that a downside is that you cannot curl your ends with it However I found that if you hold the bottom part of the section upwards as you comb through it gives a nice curl to the ends if thats what you're going for.

Overhyped product
The straightener will give you straight hair, but not exactly as advertised. It works like any other hair iron, with the only difference being the look (comb). It comes with extras like a glove, hair clips, and a comb. However, it does not give the desired "blow out" look. Despite having thin hair, multiple passes are needed to straighten it even on high heat. Overall, the product is decent but not as advertised.

I'm a believer
Like many people, I have been inundated with the tik tok, facebook, instagram ads for this device. I am NOT generally someone that falls prey to this, but my 12 year old Chi straightener is on its last legs so I thought I would give it a try. I have medium long, somewhat course, dryish, curly hair. People as where I get my hair permed - it's that kind of curly. Want more curl? Add more water. I have grown not to hate it, but also like the option of straight hair. Before now this meant wash my hair at night, in the morning go through the long process of straightening. All the while wondering how much it is drying my hair. Generally - this took about 45 minutes to do. NOW- this product. The very first time it took me 15 minutes. I was shocked at how well it worked. There are some caveats, which I will cover but DANG. I can now do my entire head from total frizz to sleek and shiny (yes shiny!) in ten minutes. Generally I only go over each strand once. The bad news - it takes some doing to figure out how much hair to do at each pass. Since it is so fast, I now just take smaller segments and then I never have to do it twice. The brush thing is a bit weird to get used to and if you don't have it turned right, your hair does not go up into the hard "bristles" thereby a worthless pass. Take a moment and figure out how much hair works for you. Overall, it will be faster. It comes with a glove - I don't use it. The only thing that sometimes feels hot is my hair and not enough to need a glove for. The cute little pink brush thing is like a doll brush. It does not go through my hair, but once my hair is done, it feels good as a kind of massage. But what you are buying here is the hair straightener and it is a total win in my book.
