My Fur Babies Love This ❤️
My big girl plays ball all day long whether you want to or not. Lol! She is a Rottweiler/German Shepherd Mix, so she is extremely intelligent and loves to play all the time. We use it inside so I just aim it where it won't break anything. It works with any 2.5 inch tennis ball. She learned how to load it herself the first day, but sometimes she brings it to me to load for her. She absolutely loves it. We have 2 other dogs a mini dachshund who is older and just kinda does what she wants, so sometimes she chases them. The other one is a rescued deer head chihuahua, so I have to load them for her of course. She loves to run and get them and I was finally able to get her to bring them back to me most of the time anyway. I was able to teach them to takes turns, so that works out really well. Any dog that loves to play will love this! I taught my big girl not to destroy her toys or balls, but I know that's could be an issue, so I recommend only getting out a few balls at a time while playing with them and putting them away right after. That way it is always a treat to play with! I am extremely happy with my purchase!!!

Good toy
This is a good ball launcher. Our puppy likes it. She even put it in to throw for her self a couple of times. It does make a lot of noise. But the noise does not frighten the puppy. I would definitely recommend it. The balls do get really wet with spit, but that can’t be avoided.

It is limited by the size of the ball channel
I read mostly positive reviews about this product and bought it based on those. One negative review did mention the ball size problem, but I thought I could figure out a solution. I was wrong. The ball channel for this device cannot take a ball larger than 1.75 inches. You can force a soft 2-inch ball in with your fingers, but that defeats the purpose of having it. The launcher comes with 2 tennis style balls and 1 foam ball. The tennis balls didn't last a day. The felt started peeling from almost the second trip through as a result of a combination of the machine and my dog's saliva. The foam ball may still be intact, but my dog lost it, so I don't know. Most balls in stores (Nerf, Kong) are two inches in diameter, so they don't just drop in the channel like the balls that come with it.I tried a handball since it is 1.75 inches and more durable, and it fit in the channel, but it is rigid rubber with very little give, so it jams in the wheels. My subsequent searches reveal the only balls that will fit are the ones sold by idogmate and they are not worth the postage much less the price.I would love to give this a higher review. My dog learned how to fetch and reload the machine on his own very quickly. He still tries to drop his ball into the channel, but as I said, it won't fit.Another issue is that the wheels get gummed up with dog spit, fur (shedding), and felt really quickly, and it is a bear to clean it.

Not programable
The media could not be loaded. The remote does nothing. And I am unable to change any settings. Distance, etc. my dog knew what it was and stuck a ball in it before I could get it out of the box. So she loves it. There is a mechanical sensor that flips as the ball goes in so it knows it's there. This piece of plastic can become gunky or sticky so make sure to clean that. Also the instructions has words in English but they do not make sense. Overall it does work.

Our dog loves this !
If you have a dog that never tires of chasing a ball… you need this. Our little dachshund loves to play ball and would love nothing more than to have you to throw a ball for her all day. She certainly learned quickly what it does. She is slowly learning to drop the ball on top. I think she is too excited for the ball to shoot out of the front to focus on learning how to drop it in the top. Once she returns the ball to you, she runs in front waiting for the ball to shoot out so she can chase it. She is just now learning to drop it on top. We have to keep it out of sight or she’ll drive us crazy wanting us to play. It functions as advertised, seems well built and sturdy. We are happy with this purchase.

It ok
My dog loved it. I sent it back though because it only holds the small balls that he tends to destroy. Would be perfect if it came with an indestructible set of mini tennis balls.

Dog finally figured it out and it stopped working
I have had this for 2 weeks. The dog absolutely loved it but refused to drop the ball in it himself until 2 weeks later. It is being returned. It worked great and was a lot of fun the 2 weeks that we had it.

Too loud
I should have listened to the other reviewers. I didn't think my dog would be scared off by the motor so easily, but this thing is really loud. If you have a dog you believe loves balls enough not to be scared off, this thing is perfect for you. It has a remote and once you get the hang of it, is easy to set it to go a decent distance. If my dog wasn't a chicken, he would have gotten a good workout with this thrower.

Rubbish….
The media could not be loaded. I have the previous model that supposingly does 30ft, this model for “Big dogs” is exactly the same but a different colour and layout. And doesn’t fire anywhere near 40ft averages around 20ft on max power. Don’t waste your money I will be returning mine.

Amazing - my doggo goes nuts for it
Expensive - yes. Best dog investment ever - yes!Well worth the money as my 2 year old cockapoo absolutely loses himself over it. He was a little confused about it on the first try but as soon as he saw it in action he was hooked. Really sturdy unit which is quite big but light. Easy functions and comes with a remote. It can be used plugged in or you can charge it up to take outside. The sound is not too loud like others on the market (from researching) and as soon as my dog hears the high pitch noise just before the ball is spat out, he gets super excited. It comes with 2 normal sized tennis balls, a rope ball and a sponge ball. All work perfectly through it. The range is good (pretty powerful actually). We have used it inside as well.I’ve put it away and my dog keeps hovering around it as he doesn’t want to stop!A definite recommend for any ball obsessed dog
