Not at all when compared to wool. I cannot wear any wool, even cashmere against my skin. I have a lovely shawl that I wear easily against my skin for extended periods of time (hours) without irritation. However, if you find fibers other than wool to feel itchy on your skin, then you might also find this to be itchy. Overall, my answer would be "no, this is not itchy". I've never ordered yarn from Amazon . . . when you order more than one ball of this yarn, do they send the same dye lot?

I've ordered yarn from Amazon a few times, but they vendor you are ordering from may be different. So far it's always been the same dye lot. I would say that it's good etiquette that they send all of the yarn from the same dye lot of tell you if they can't. You could probably return it at their expense if they sent different lots.

Is it pure white color or yellowish ?

I'm not sure. It looks white. Ask the seller. I didn't order this color. It's my favorite yarn
