Price, function
My old one was broken, had worked fairly well (10+ years). Replaced with this. This one a little beefier. I know because I had trouble sliding it in place- thicker plastic all around. Lo and behold old one was also marked Deflecto. So this is one company which has actually improved its product over time. And you don't want the ones with mesh wire filter because they clog with lint fairly quickly.

Perfect replacement
It was exactly as advertised and fit perfectly as a replacement for a broken vent cover. It doesn’t come with new screws so had to reuse screws from old one. Otherwise it is a good replacement part.

Holes don’t line up
Wanted to replace our Deflecto vent hood. Ordered this Deflecto unit as it was the same measurement and manufacturer. Unfortunately when it arrived the installation holes were not the same requiring us to either drill new holes in our siding or send it back. Buyer beware.

Try this if need be.
I bought this product to take out the flaps and put them in the old Vent Hood spot. The old flaps were dry rotting and falling apart. It was going to be a chore to take out the WHOLE vent out and replace it with this one. So I just took the flaps out of this and slid them into the old case and it works great.
