Excellent Binoculars
I wanted a smaller, lighter weight pair of binoculars for travelling - I have a very good pair of 10x50 binoculars that are larger and heavier than the Athlon 10x42's. This Athlon product is outstanding in build and optical quality. They feel great in my hands and the brightness and FOV seems little - if at all - different than the 10x50's. I am really happy with the Athlon 10x42's and would readily recommend them to others.

Value way beyond price
These are remarkable. Easily exceeds HD versions of other brands. Clarity is fantastic regardless of light. Works very well with glasses full 5 stars.

100 Percent Happy with Purchase
I was in need of a new pair of binos and after reading a lot of reviews about this brand and how they were the best bang for the buck in their price range,I decided to go with these Athlon Midas 10 x42 binos and I have no regrets.Great clear image, easy to focus and there is nothing that appears to be cheaply made about them. They come with a nice carrying case and I like the way the dust cover caps are designed.I would not hesitate recommending this brand to anyone looking for a good set of mid range priced binos.

Much better than vortex diamondback
These are much better than vortex diamondback’s. These are much clearer have way more comfortable Eye cups are superior in low light. Comparing these to several different binoculars these perform closer to $500+ pairs from other companies. I did prefer these G2 to the gen1 because the enter poplar distance is a little bit wider on the Gentiles and they also have more comfort of eye cups but optically they’re identical. I was able to easily find ground squirrels but we’re hiding amongst rocks in tall grass at over 1200 yards in difficult lighting conditions. These easily outperformed two other vortex binoculars that costing well over $500 in the same conditions on the same day.

Fantastic optics and great build quality.
It is hard to beat the warranty of Athlon and Vortex. I was able to get an open-box pair of 10x42 Midas G2 and it was a killer deal. The pair work perfectly and the view is so clear and sharp. In their sweet spot, they are a match for my Cronus G2 10x42. In fact, they are ever so slightly brighter than the Cronus G2. And lighter - about 4oz lighter than the Cronus. Compared to others I have tried (Vortex Viper HD, Celestron Trailseeker ED, Vanguard Endeavor IV, Bushnell Engage EDX, and Legend Ultra HD) these are optically sharper and a better choice. I do like the Celestron Trailseeker ED and the Bushnells, but Celestron's warranty is meager. The Bushnells are both great too, but Athlon edges them out.

Amazing quality for the price and very sturdy build
The optical quality of these binoculars seems to be just as good as the quality on my wife's much more expensive pair of binoculars. Bright, sharp images that are clear edge to edge.I purchased the 10x rather than the 8x that birders usually buy in order to complement my wife's 8x binoculars. The two are generally interchangeable, but there are certain distances and conditions when the slightly greater magnification is a plus.

Great magnification and lens coating
I bought these for mainly bird watching. Initially I was planning on buying 8x42 but these were on sale and cheaper than those so I got these as a good value. The ease of use and focusing is very easy. The one thing I was impressed was the magnification. The size and the details of the object was kind boggling. Open a new perspective. Any bird watchers, please buy this and then thank me later.

Excellent Optics
These binos are very good for their price point and even beyond. I tested these against Nikon Monarch 7s (great, but no better than Athlons and $200+ more plus didn't like sticky rubber feel of Nikons), Celestron Trailseeker ED (liked, but couldn't get as clear a view as the Athlons), Vortex Vipers (uncomfortable eyecups and heavier), Hawke Frontier ED X (really liked these - comfortable eyecups, great ergonomics, but focus knob was loosey-goosey. Shallow depth of field). Athlons have a plastic focus knob and eyecups (with rubber over both), but other than that good build quality. No problem with black-outs with the 10x42 eyecups, but did have with 8x42s. Great binos!
