Wall Control Paper Towel Holder and Dowel Rod Pegboard Shelf Assembly for Wall Control Pegboard and Slotted Tool Board - Blue

I thought this would be a nice accessory for the Wall Control pegboard panels I recently bought-which I love. This, however, is cheesy by design and not a good accessory, imho. To replace or load a roll of paper towels, you need to slide the wood dowel out through the side, after removing a cheesy rubber cap. This requires space next to wherever this is mounted, the width of that same wood dowel, to change the roll. The usual point of these pegboard panels is to use them to hang stuff-so having to leave a clear area next to this paper towel holder, the width of the dowel and presumably the height of a new roll of paper towels. Yeah. Nothanks. Returning. I've got the basic paper towel type holders in various places in the garage already. They'll do the job, and they're cheap and more functional.

Got this to add over my work space in my garage. It mounted easily on the Wall Control metal pegboards I ordered. It's easy to move around to different spots...I had to fiddle with it to get it exactly where I wanted, because I'm a nut for organization, and it let me do that very well.After mounting it was nice and sturdy. I've been able to rip paper towels off without it rattling, and that's even after I put a small level, measuring tape, and razor knife on the shelf about the roll (the shelf is a nice touch). It's been able to hold large rolls of paper towels with no problem, which is nice if you're going to make a mess.As with all the Wall Control products I've used, this is a very high quality, well designed, heavy duty piece of gear. Nicely done, Wall Control.

I picked this up so I could have some shop towels in within easy reach in my garage. It definitely works as-advertised.Only niggling aspect to this is that the dowel is held into the groove by the rubber endcaps and they are the only thing preventing the dowel from sliding in and out of the holder. In normal circumstances this is fine--but if your hands are covered with oil, axle grease, etc., then it's a bit fiddly to take the end caps off. You might want to make sure you have a fresh towel roll before starting work.

Great for holding ribbons or bag straps or any type of large spool. I use it with the rest of my Wall Control accessories. A few cons:1. The shelf doesn't really stay on the brackets on its own, it needs to be weighted down. This may be because of slight warping of the pegboard during installation or removal/transport, or maybe not. However, I'm glad to have the shelf there to increase usability of the space.2. The rod is pretty annoying to manipulate once installed, especially if there are spools on it. The round slots that hold the rod are shaped such that the rod cannot be lifted directly vertical out of the slots (probably a good thing as the rod will not randomly fall off as you fiddle with it). You have to remove one of the white caps, and slide the rod horizontally, simultaneously keeping it level so all the spools don't come off. Not a deal-breaker, just requires some practice and careful maneuvering.Overall I love most of Wall Control's accessories and boards, and this is a great addition to my craft center.

I love this item. I use it to put sticker rolls on so i can just pull off what i need. I also put sticker rolls for my rollo printer on it and feed it into the printer. so easy this way and i can pick what one i want to use and bam use it. it is very sturdy. These rolls are fairly heavy and this does not waiver. the wood stick is solid and strong. the metal is nice and strong as well. I might even buy more.

my only real complaint is it could have been designed to swap paper towel rolls more easily. As it is, you have to remove a plastic cap to take the rod out. my hands don't work too well after any more, so maybe others can remove the plastic cap better than me, but still seems they could've done better with that part.

I love the product but when I finally had to to organize and opened the bag I noticed this all twisted. The shipping box was perfectly ok. Tried to straighten it but it will not budge. So here I go, unproductive again, can't organize when the product you receive is unusable. :(

Works great! Shelf is handy. Bought 2, one for paper towels and one for rolls of tape. Everything is easy to access and not piled on the workbench.

Super práctico, si tuviera una cuchilla para corte de papel estaría mucho mejor, voy a comprar unos mas para los diferentes rollos que utilizo y lo mas seguro es que a uno le adaptaré una cuchilla para corte.

I suppose there may be less expensive solutions for your shop towel roll but I love having it right on my tool wall and this piece does the job perfectly. The extra shelf space on top is very handy as well.

Convenient item. The top shelf can easily be knocked off, so I inserted 3 strong rectangular magnets under the shelf : 1 on each side against the shelf and side rails junctions and 1 in the back at the shelf and peg board junction.

Excelente, solo le falta algún sistema para que el soporte de madera quedara fijo y sería perfecto, el material es de muy buena calidad y grosor.
