Fitted it and I use it manually as in auto it never seems to shut off even when console is off (standby). Does its job though, strong breeze behind the machine, it is noticeable I'm noise but once you're used to it it's OK.

Considering the size of the fan, it is really loud. Unless you're wearing a headset, you'll hear it over your game. Also it's either always on, or you have to switch it off. I have my xbox is a pretty well ventilated space regardless, but the auto function never shuts off. There's no way it's constantly at 40'C, so it might just be a design issue.I wouldn't recommend this item.

Well i purchased this as my Xbox one X as it was getting a little toasty at the back so i thought lets help the poor thing out and get a cooling fan.The fan works and does the job but the problem i have is when the xbox is off and the fan is set to auto (meaning it will come on when the xbox needs it) the fan will randomly fire up and go off until i manually turn the fan off, it makes a lot of noise although the xbox is off and not being used. Very noisy i have removed it as it very randomly tries to power itself up when the xbox is off and create a lot of racket.Would i recommend it No.

Works as it says it should. Automatic mode is good (though ‘glitchy’ almost every time it turns on).My only complaint is that it could be quieter.
