The Book of Grimoires: The Secret Grammar of Magic

Very Interesting
I have all of Claude Lecouteux's books that have been translated into english and they are all quite fascinating. This is no exception. If you are interested in the history of magical books or the medieval mind this is one to check out.

Very informative and comprehensive.
This compilation is very thorough and I am assuming that used in ancient times. There are "cures" for childbirth, poison, heart problems, curses, and lot more.

An Excellent Introduction To Magic
A great lead into the "grammar" of magic. The author went way back to trace the evolution of magic. It has led me to look further into an enticing new outlook on life.

Good information. However old texts were photocopied in very poorly - you won't be able to reproduce them accurately because they're too blurry.

Good read but is just a another composite of material
A good read - but I was hoping for a history of different sources not another composite grimoire in its own right. I’d like to learn where the author got specific bits of information (from a sourcing perspective) vice amalgamating themes from disparate sources. There are enough composites out there.

Average book
It's okay, but not as good as other volumes. Rather basic in terms of occult history
