Awesome Wide Angle Lens
Do you like wide angle shots? Do you have an A6000 camera? Then this is certainly a lens you are going to want to have.Because the A6000 is a crop sensor, the "effective" focal lengths of this lens are 15mm-24mm. This is achieved by multiplying the focal lengths by the "crop factor" of 1.5.If you have ever fallen in love with wide angles, then you know the "look" you are trying to achieve. Specifically, at least for me, I want some distortion at the edges of the frame. This lens does that, especially when you tilt the camera up or down. This lens also works great for interior house photos. It makes your home look much more spacious, and would be great for real estate use.Overall, I am very happy with this lens. While it does add some weight to the front of the A6000, it is exactly what I was looking for. It is the widest lens I own.

Great Lens
Great lens. Nice and sharp. Could ask for a bit less distortion at the edges, but very pleased in all other respects.

High quality wide angle lens
Very good lens. Wide angle. At these focal lengths it distorts, but that is what you want. Great for landscapes. My daughter in law even shot bicycle races. Very interesting pictures where distortion adds drama to the image.I am very happy with this lens. Very well made. Sony has E-mount lenses that are chipper. This one is more expensive but it is worth every penny.

Very soft ..
Versatile wide angle lens, light, seems well made. It is however very soft all the way through, from F4 to 22. It is absolutely no comparison to the incredibly sharp Rokinon 12mm F2 in image quality. With the Rokinon, you have to correct the chromatic aberrations at times (the Sony is a bit better but not perfect) but it is so much sharper than the Sony! I also prefer the colors.. I am comparing apples with oranges here, the Sony is a zoom and perfect for point and shoot, the Rokinon is a manual lens. Fact is that there is not much choice in the wide angle range, so any decision is a compromise. The Zeiss is too big and too expensive, apparently the motor is also loud. The Sony 10 - 18 does not deliver an acceptable image quality for the price, for my taste it is too soft in both corners and center. I sent it back, maybe it has been a badly aligned copy, I cannot know that. My compromise is the Rokinon, it is much cheaper, easy to handle with the a6000 and it has an incredible image quality.

Excellent lens
I have always been a great fan of SLR Nikon cameras and Nikkor lenses. Having read a number of positive reviews about Sony NEX6, I decided to get one and found this lens @Amazon with a price lower then I could get anywhere. The build quality of the lens is excellent. It Produces images with a very good sharpness, comparable to those produced by an SLR camera. Thumbs up for this lens and for the seller for a quick delivery of the item.

Good enough for me, gets the job done
I was in the market for a wide angle lens so I could shoot videos (mostly). I chose this lens because of the price and the high ratings it got for its image stabilization. I use this with my Sony A6500 and I almost don't need a tripod or stabilizer, killer combo. As far as using 10mm, I find it unusable. The image fish eyes significantly, edges blur and discoloration begins to appear (reference the first image for blurred edges and discoloration). I mostly stay between 14-18mm when shooting. I tried using this lens for landscape photography but found it lacking in sharpness. For that reason I use a 50 prime. Apart from these small details, I love this lens. Its good enough for me and gets the job done. I'll keep using it until I can upgrade to better or it breaks. All images are shown as shot.

Too Expensive for Quality
For the price, I expected this lens to be sharper. Compared to my Canon 16-35 f/4, which costs about $250 more than this lens and is thus in generally the same price bracket, the 10-18 is very soft and mushy in the corners, even at the middle apertures like f/8 and f/10. I bought it to go with an a6000 and found it difficult to get an image with sharp corners at the wide end while using careful focusing techniques (on a tripod, ten second timer, carefully focused at the hyperfocal distance for a sample scene). Some reviewers suggest zooming in to sharpen things up but that solution defeats the purpose of having a wide angle lens. I bought a 10mm lens because I want to be able to use it at 10mm.Some people seem really happy with this lens, so I might have just received a soft copy (I didn't like the a6000 system enough to try another copy of the lens). Also, this lens looks quite attractive without any lens markings but the absence of focus distance information makes quick manual focus impossible. I am used to memorizing a few hyperfocal distances and then knowing what markings correspond with that distance for fast focusing but that is impossible with this lens.If you are not reproducing photos at larger sizes where problems with fine details will be magnified, you might be quite happy with this lens. However, if you plan to produce images at larger sizes, you might not be happy with this lens, especially if you are used to the quality of some of Canon and Nikon's better offerings.
