Web of Extinction book 3
Well Mr. Conroe you've done it again. I'm a big fan of the Demon Accords books but the Zone War series comes in a very close second. The who!e series was great. I couldn't put the books down, there were many times I read way into the night or should I say early morning..

Mr. C. is Simply One of My Top 5 Favorite Living Fiction Writers
I stopped watching television years ago. It felt like I was insulting my own intelligence each time I turned one on.Thus, I am currently indulging in my childhood dream of reading as many books as I want in my retirement. When I was a kid, the library was my haven. Now my haven is my Kindle. I get to enjoy hundreds of book a year now and Mr. C. is the author I most look forward to seeing a new release from. His work is always extremely well thought out and plotted. His pacing, humor and pitch are as close to perfect as a human can get. This last work has a wonderful bonus. Instead of the traditional trope of spending an entire book building up to a climatic battle, he does what few authors have the courage to do.He resolves the Climatic battle half way through the book. That takes hutzpah.Instead of the "and they lived happily ever after", he essentially gives his readers a second book after the hero(es) "win" the great battle. I love it!How many authors will spend half a book detailing what happens the morning, the week and the year after the good guys do their thing. That takes real skill.Mr. C. has once again exceeded his most recent personal best work before publishing this one.I hope like heck that he is ranked in the top 25 of Amazon fiction writers. He deserves to be.P.S.: Once again awesome cover artwork too!

The End Of A Fun Ride, Even Though The Ending Left Much To Be Desired
Judging by the comments, most people were disappointed with the ending, mostly because of how different it is from the rest of the trilogy. I'm a part of the same crowd. The book had a vastly different vibe up until Conroe began to tie up all the lose ends. The direction he chose to go was... well, surprising. It's not a shocking twist for the hell of having a shocking twist. It doesn't crescendo, it sizzles out. While it's a valid choice for his characters and one that makes sense, it simply doesn't award as much as other options could have. It's Conroe's prerogative as the author, gotta respect that. Personally, I think it's a shame. I was seeing the makings of the foundations for another trilogy. I saw the story going in a vastly different and far more interesting (*cough* Skynet *cough*) ending that would have opened doors for Conroe to explore the world after the fact. His characters were well placed to survive in it, or at least have a head start, but that will never happen.Perhaps his other projects grew more interesting in his mind, perhaps he had envisioned this from the star, who knows? It is what it is.Regardless of the ending, I have to admit this was one hell of a ride.

Maybe even better than the Super-Duper Demon Accord series.
Mr. Conroe and I share a love for the same authors, so how could I not REALLY enjoy his books. I powered through the Demon Accord series. Loved all 18 books. Bettger still is this Zone War series, ending with this book. This main character, Ajay, like most of his, is extremely competent and confident. Like Spenser, he just "knows" what is right and what is wrong and does RIGHT. Hard for me to like characters who are all angst and incompetence. His characters have issues, but deal. I can get behind that. Love this world he built. Kind of reminds me of the environment in Will Smith's movie "I Am Legend". I expect to read and own every book Mr. Conroe writes. I wonder if he has ever been to Conroe TX.

Great series
This is a phenomenal series. Good plot and action scenes. The coverage of A.I. potential issues is well thought out very timely in this da and age.

Started admiration with Demon Accords series. This was just as fascinating and entertaining. Job well done - get to leave the real world for a while.

5 stars for the plot alone
Honestly, the story ended in a manner of writing somewhat unlike the flow of the rest of the series, and if the plot weren't so great, I probably would have given this 4 stars.By all means you should start from book one and read this series. Well thought out, interesting, fresh, and aggravating because of how strongly you'll be rooting for the hero.I do feel like I need to know more, so yes, I'm "yelling" at you, Mr. Conroe. How did Rikki become so adaptable? Is AJ a tech genius, who doesn't even know he's a tech genius? Or was Rikki something else, maybe a fluke from the original coding? Maybe it's as simple as good luck on AJ's part from the beginning...but I feel like Rikki could have gotten more attention!I also feel like the original creators of the issue went down without a spectacular enough fight. That's probably realistic since they essentially paid to have the dirty work done, but I still feel like we're waiting for the other shoe to drop. And I want to see more of Astrid and her family!I could keep going. Sorry. I love this trilogy. You should read it!

Awesome finale!
A very best ending with more promising possibilities of a sequel. I love it. I hope there is a post apocalyptic series in the works for our survivalists! where they have to protect their own Haven. Keep up the good work! Thank you very much for this book! I can't wait for the next one!

Thought provoking end of the world?
At the moment due to the C19 virus, I'm in lockdown and cant go out or go to work. Being married to a successful author I know how long a book can take to write, and rewrite. I also know a badly written book from a well written one. Finding new authors is a bit of a trial and error experience. So being desperate for something new to read, I dipped into this series, not expecting much. I read all three in five days. I really couldnt put them down. OK so there was sometimes a bit too much about gun makes but that became obvious such detail was included when the hero used them in shooting down drones, You then understand why. Its action packed, and the characters you care about and the plot line, is damn original, (Ok might have borrowed a bit from the Terminator series) But the creation of the drone enemy idea was sound and scary. Our reliance on I.T and growing A.I like Alexa is an under current of the book. What happens when some group decide to get rich on the deaths of others by using such technology? Read these books, I loved them, apologies for reading them in five days when it probably took you three years to write, but they were really good.

Another strong story worth reading.
1. Live John Conroe’s books so maybe a bit biased here. The Zone wars series was again another interesting take on a previous theme. The writing is excellent and character development is always good enough to appreciate the dimensions of the person. Loved the series but I always like a finish and book 3 finished (for me at least) a little flat. The build up was strong leaving several options which way it was going to go and I would have preferred a differ tending. Or perhaps another book to complete it?

Breath taking and satisfying finale
Perfect ending to a near perfect series. The author has a great grasp of action scenes, but manages to inhabit them with interesting people as well. The final chapters wrap things up nicely. There’s room for a second series set in the same universe, but no immediate cliffhanger to drive readers crazy. Well done!
