A must-read for anybody interested in WW2.
My grandfather was in this prison camp. I wish I had known about this book when I first came out in 2006 as my grandfather passed in 2007. The book confirms the few stories that he told me about his experience and much much more. I wish he were still here now that I have a reference point and know what to ask.

Based on the British experience
My dad was an American POW at stalag 4B and I wanted to learn more about what it was like. This book is from a British point of view. It is interesting read and well worth reading. I just wish it had more about Americans.

Connecting with my Father
My Father was at this camp and through the years he told me many stories about it. Many of those stories were repeated by those interviewed for this book, a great read.

Fascinating
An excellent set of accounts which mirror my own father's recollections of the camp in many respects. A fascinating insight.
