best canned mackerel on market...no question and i worked fish biz 40 yrs

The product arrived quickly and was well packaged. Out of curiosity, I ordered this because of the brand and the overall quality of its products. I only ever had smoked mackerel in the past (which I love) but now I think I have a new favorite. The fillets are tender and with a delicate taste with no fishiness whatsoever.

I've been eating a lot of canned mackerel because of its very high EPA-Omega 3 content. This is very high quality mackerel, but I've marked it down a bit because promoting it as "Imported from Italy" is somewhat misleading. Careful parsing of Parodi's labeling, including what's under the English label pasted over the Italian one, shows it's sourced from Morocco, produced/canned in Spain, and sold/distributed by Parodi, which is based in Genova ... bottom line is the mackerel is not from Italian waters. Nevertheless, it is really good mackerel.Wild Planet mackerel is also sourced from Morocco and IMHO it's close in quality to Parodi's, while it costs about 30% less.

I tried the variety pack and these were included. I liked them so much I ordered the 10 pack. They are densely packed, there is oil but just enough, not fishy but fresh tasting. I love them on crackers. Best brand I have found.

I well know the brand as I buy it many times in Italy, now.. the product I received is totally different , smell bad , test bad , fish seem bad quality and different treated..absolutely non the product that I well know in Italy and Inot even digest well. 10 pack to to trash !
