Good information for newbies but has the same problems as many new releases on witchcraft
This could be good for brand new baby witches who are wicca-focused but does what many (almost all) beginner books do: pushes the author's code of ethics as if it's cosmic law. I don't like that. This book states one must follow certain rules (or else). Feels very preachy to me as a seasoned witch. Many of us experienced witches follow our own code that we define for ourselves but if we wanted to be told what to do we probably would have stuck with organized religion. No thanks! Wiccans believe things come back to you x3 and the author calls this karma. Respectfully, I don't agree and I don't think that's what karma truly is! It doesn't come back to you in this lifetime and this misunderstanding of karma is so widespread in Western new age culture. It is fine to believe things come back to you x3 (or not) but calling it karma is not accurate. It must be said. Many traditional witches believe if you can't hex, you can't heal. Hexing a rapist would not lead to bad things coming back to you x3 in my belief system and choosing not to hex is fine, again it's up to the witch, but books like this one suggest you must only practice "love and light" style magic and it's a huge pet peeve. To be fair she does not use love and light style language which I appreciate but the implication is there.I do like that she mentions some possible paths for witches but there are more than what's mentioned. Again, that's the problem with many new magick books. I'm not only picking on this author who still brings a lot of interesting information for a newbie. I especially like the quick reference for holidays and tools so that's a plus but this is not the book I'd recommend if a new witch asked me, honestly. With that said, the basic spells she shares are useful and I really like how she includes the time it takes to complete them which is unique in my opinion. The art is also very appealing and I like that very much.I was gifted this by the publisher and this is my honest review.

Great Introduction Into Practical Spell Usage
Disclosure 1: I received a free copy of the book from the publisher in exchange for a review. (Thank you.)Disclosure 2: I am not now, nor have I ever been, a witch or practitioner of Wicca. I approached this book as I do any type of non-fiction instructional book, as an objective interested reader. So, when this book was offered, I thought it might be pretty interesting. Well, it is, and despite not being a user of spells, there are a couple that might be worth trying, like the Abundance Mint Tea on page 210. I mean, it's tea, it can't hurt anything, can it?The Home Protection Wash on page 176 is also one I'd like to try, because I believe it may be useful in not only cosmic protection, but from insects as well. We live in the country, so it's a double-duty spell.Page 76 and 77 have two money spells that also look easy to try, especially since I have all the necessary materials available. They can be used together, and I don't believe they could do any harm. Not being a practitioner myself, I did read previous reviews and opinions on the book and found them to be helpful. The author does offer a good introduction into spells and teaches you how to cast them as a newcomer. No wading through "bubble, bubble, toil and trouble" or other stereotyping or long, drawn-out explanations. And of course, these practical spells are used for making positive changes. You can't turn your ex into a toad here, because the spells are for making life better in whatever area you need it the most. Let your ex turn him or herself into a toad on their own, and get your "revenge" by improving yourself. Start with one or two that heals your spirit and boosts your confidence and go from there.I like the way the book is laid out, with different uses and different chapters. You can find the spell you need quickly and start using them right away. Those two money spells I mentioned? I'm thinking about trying them this week. And if they don't "work?" I tried them, maybe I didn't do them right. But the curious people like me will find this enjoyable reading.

Possibly the only spell book you'll ever need.
This book is a perfect spell book. It categorizes the kinds of spells into individual chapters. This book also explains how to prepare to cast a spell, building an alter, incorporating the moon and months with casting spells, and the basic ingredients of a witches pantry.I reccomend this spell book as a first over any other spell book. This is also a great book if you're wondering how witches practice.

A great starter
I seriously love this. As a baby witch, this is a very insightful introduction full of spells that have details like when to perform them, where, and how long it will take. It's the little things seriously 👌🏼

Overall a good spellbook!!
As someone who's always had an interest but never indulged until her late 20's early 30's I absolutely adore this book, it's a great place to start on my adventure with more references in the back to continue on my journey (I already bought the coloring book/planner of shadows before this book) Love the illustrations and the layout of spells (makes it very easy for a beginner) and is it weird to say I like the way the cover feels? Lol :) and thank you for the witche's pantry part, super helpful!!

Disappointed
Anyone getting this book be prepared to get a lot of supplies and be subject to 'rituals' like doing spells only on certain days of the week, during some moon phase or doing spell work in certain areas of the house. With all the moving parts a newbie spell caster could get easily lost in the 'rituals.'

Felt Overwhelmed
I am a new witch in the making and this book was just way too overhemlming for me, to the point that I'm not going to pick it up until i'm experienced and it says "for new witches".I feel this way every single spell i've read needs a lot of unique items, some are even impossible for me to purchase, its way too technical, making it complicated and stressful for any new witch to even be motivated to cast a spell from this book.

Although I've been on the path for a while now, I still love to read new books to collect ideas. I absolutely loved this book. I keep reading it. I'd recommend this highly to anyone interested in the spelldinding world of the craft. This is a fantastic book.

Great Content
The book has several interesting spells and potion recipes and rituals, very detailed and well illustrated. I am very pleased to finally have found a book that has quite a lot of substance and information other than just long paragraphs and theoretical notions of spells and magic.Highly recommend if you are interested in the subject!

Fantastic book easily readable for a novice.
I don’t bother leaving reviews normally but if you’re thinking of buying this book go for it!. The book is very clear and easy to understand. It explains all about moon magic and phases, when/how to use them and all the holidays/sabbats. Also teaches about how to use your inner power and the process behind casting. spells for everything from love, protection, luck, finance and even your own well being. I would say these instructions are easy to follow. Tells you in the beginning of the book the most common tools you will need to use the book. These aren’t difficult things to get it’s things like herbs, crystals, essential oils nothing to extravagant if you cook or bake you’ll have a lot in your cupboard already. If you’re just starting out it can be tricky to find the right book because there is just so much and the truth is what’s right for one isn’t for another. For the price give it a go I don’t think you’ll regret it. It truly is a fantastic starter or even a nice book as part of any witchy occult library.
