Excellent Value - But Not a "Bath & Body" Scented Caliber Product
THIS PRODUCT is difficult to locate in local stores for less than $12-$20. And where it does exist at lower prices? Stores like Kroger may or may not have it in stock. Whole Paycheck will have it for $17 but that's Whole Paycheck. OVERALL - This is a great product for frequent, year-round showering. And the value for the price paid from this seller is unbeatable. I keep 4-5 body wash products revolving in the shower at any given time.. And using Softened, Low Chlorine City Water, there's no comparison between the post-use, skin-softness from using this product COMPARED TO OTHER PRODUCTS. (Other products: Kroger & Equate "Sensitive Skin" body wash; Old Spice, Generic Old Spice, Ben Sherman, etc). OTHER REVIEWERS claim that this product is "diluted" and "smells awful." I've bought this product at big box stores on various occasions in the prior decade - and while I can't speak to the level of dilution - and I won't trounce on other reviewers' experience - II can attest that the product smells the same as always. From my experience, this product has never been a "Bath & Body Scented" Caliber Product. Instead, if boasts a kind of clinical, quasi medicinal scent to it. (if you want pretty-scented bath & body caliber stuff, try the other varieties from this brand. ALSO CONSIDER whether you're using City Water, Seasonal levels of Chlorine and/or Phosphorous, Untreated Well Water, and/or whether your water has regional smells. ex. "Iron Water" Smell from wells in Appalachian Regions ) I will say that I feel & smell great AFTER using the product. No itching. No dried skin. And as an adult male in the Midwest's "Sweat Belt" - this is a really great body wash for frequent showering. This is my 3rd refill of this product.

Cleans well, great scent, not harsh chemicals.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Packaged well for safe shipping, the bottle feels solid and doesn’t get all squished when you use it. I’ve been using Jason Lavender Body Wash for a while now, and it’s honestly a solid pick. First off, the packaging is great—simple, clean design that looks nice in the shower. The bottle is sturdy and easy to grip, and the cap closes tightly, so no mess or leaks. The scent is one of the best parts. It’s a soft, natural lavender—not too strong or fake-smelling. It’s calming, especially if you’re using it at night to wind down. As for the body wash itself, it lathers well and rinses off clean. It doesn’t leave any weird residue, and it doesn’t dry out your skin. It feels gentle, which is great if you have sensitive skin or just prefer something more natural. Overall, it’s a reliable, no-fuss body wash that smells great and feels good to use. Definitely worth picking up if you’re into lavender or just want something that works without all the extra chemicals.

Good but overpriced. Do not buy it from here
This is more of an entry level "tea tree for beginners" soap. It has a pleasant non-medicinal scent which doesn't linger for long on the skin. The gel consistency is somewhat thin but it doesn't take much to produce a good amount of suds. It cleans well and rinses off easily. My skin feels comfortable (no itching or irritation) after using it. It's not moisturizing but it doesn't dry out my skin either. The last three times I ordered this product (the last purchase was in July 2023) I paid $8.99 bottle. It is now December 2023 and the price has increased to $14.99 per bottle *sigh* This is a good product but I don't recommend buying it here (FYI: the online store that starts with V and ends with T is selling it for $11).

Gentle cleansing for sensitive skin
JASON's Herbs and Shea Butter body wash is so exceptional, that I have this product on subscription delivery because I use it in the bath/shower, as hand soap and even as sink detergent for dishes to protect my hands. I have sensitive, dry skin and live in a cold climate. I am all allergic to almost everything, but not this. JASON's liquid wash gets me very clean all over and in-between with no irritation or itchingI don't know how they do it because it does such a great job of cleaning- even dishes, but it doesn't dry out my skin and I can even use it on my private parts with no irritation! It's the only soap product I have in the house. My boyfriend tried it at my house and now he gets it delivered as well. It also does not leave soap scum in the tub. It's truly a clean product. I admire JASON products because they have been forerunners of quality products with no animal testing, pthalates, sulfates or petroleum for decades. Always rinse well no matter what product you use. This product has almost no scent when used. Perfect for the whole family! I highly recommend.

Smells like chemicals, not Lavender. Sensitive people beware!
I wanted to like this body wash. I really did. The price was right, and I thought the product would be natural enough for me. Apparently not. Immediately upon opening the box, I could smell the perfume. The bottles weren't leaking at all, either. So, very strong scent. Now, let's be clear: I AM mildly sensitive to chemicals and perfumes, but I can't recall ever sneezing uncontrollably to anything NATURAL. I use essential oils all the time (which have strong scents, though natural), as well as heavily scented natural products. Never a problem there. This made me sneeze like crazy when I used it. That's not a desirable effect in a shower, with hard surfaces to knock one's head on when you're flailing like, well, a person who is sneezing like crazy. It's especially not good for someone who recently had hip surgery (no, people, I'm actually only 27) because sneezing can make you nearly fall over in a slippery shower, especially when you're already unsteady. When I first got this (before surgery) it was still making me sneeze a week later. I thought *Hmm, that might fade. I might get acclimated to it. I'd better give it a good go, since I bought so much of it!* I bought this in November. It is now April. I have NOT acclimated to it. Still sneezing, and it's from this product. I know because I've made brief switches to other products (Burt's Bees, African Black bar soaps, castile soap) and haven't sneezed. Then I use this again. I shower, sneeze my brains out, hope I don't crack my head or fall, almost do, and kick myself for buying this. I'm not exaggerating; the sneezing fits are really quite extraordinary. I leave the door unlocked so my husband can rescue me in the event of a sneezing catastrophe. But, well... at least you know it lasts a long time!? I wish it didn't. Why am I still using it? "Waste not, want not", with a caveat: "Hope you don't die in the shower." There is definitely a chemical smell to this. Lavender? HA! One of my favorite essential oils to use is Lavender. This is NOT LAVENDER! It smells (to me) like a chemical re-creation of lavender. A very poor one. It does have its merits, however. What I can say for the wash is this: A couple of pumps does the job rather well, though I'm petite, so you may need a few more. It lathers well for a not-so-conventional, wants-to-be-"natural" body wash. It makes you feel clean without drying, yet doesn't make you feel over-moisturized or coated in something like super-moisturizing washes do. It also hasn't caused any skin irritation, which is a miracle for me, considering my reaction to the scent, and sensitive skin. The product is a good value, if your body doesn't give you violent reactions to it. So, three stars. I'm trying to be fair. Given the cleansing performance of this product, some (curious or self-destructive) part of me is tempted to try the tea tree. I love tea tree almost as much as lavender. But since this smells like chemical NOT-lavender, I'm afraid of what the tea tree would smell like/do. Perhaps it will make my eyeballs bleed and fall out? Okay, I'm kidding about my eyeballs. But I wouldn't buy this product again. If there is an unscented version, I might try a sample to see if it makes me react. Otherwise, when I'm done with this, I shall steer clear of the body wash of doom.
