Not that I am aware of, but if you can't find anything on Amazon, I would bring a picture of this device to a fire safety supply store and ask, they may be able to point you in the right direction.

Q: Can the stopper be switch to the other side so that it can be used on an upward facing sprinkler head?

The simple answer is No, but the longer answer is Maybe. No because the other side does not have a threaded hole for you to be able to switch the rubber stopper to the other side. Maybe, because the other side does have a hole, however. It is not threaded. But, you could create your own stopper by securing a circular rubber grommet or even a rubber furniture foot via a short nut and bolt, through the hole. So, with some experimenting you could make it work. I would test it and adjust before relying on it though. Hopefully this helps.

That's correct. Typically that piece will have to break to cause water to begin coming out in the first place. Then you use this tool to stop it. Hope this helps.
