Bought these to use on my chalkboard painted wall! They came in perfect! No cracks! But the yellow did crack when I used it! But that could’ve been my fault! I needed vibrant colors because I’m having (or hoping to have) a Beatles themed 1st birthday party for my son! It’s supposed to be in July (pending coronavirus status) ... I started this thinking it would take me days (if not weeks to finish) but my baby actually enjoyed watching me draw and I almost finished it in one try! The chalk is smooth, vibrant, and exactly what I was looking for! Just be careful with whatever is under you while you draw, I had a thick layer of colorful powder all over my mounding and floor! Still worth it and it looks fab!I just hope it comes off well! I’ll have to come back and update after we have his party! (It’s Gona be in my walk for a while!)

I am a math teacher. I taught for 27 years in the public school system and now I teach at the community college. I had a box of PRANG colored chalk that I LOVED (from the 1990's). It was dustless, wrote bright on the board and erased easily. I purchased a new box of PRANG colored chalk and I was disappointed. It was not bright on the board and hard for the students to see. Then I tried this chalk. MAGIC. It is lovely. Super bright and super easy to see on the board. A few pieces did arrive broken... but like others have said it was not a deal breaker. I too usually break the chalk in half to write more easily on the board. The only draw back with this chalk is that it gets all over my hands. I picked up a travel size pack of Wet Ones moist wipes and clean my hands after the class is done.

Wow...so I've been a teacher for 15+ years and have always bought the inexpensive chalk from the catalogs or at the store. Since I still have and use the chalkboard in my Math classes, I decided to treat myself to better quality chalk. Plus I hate excessive chalk dust and squeaking when writing on the board. This chalk is wonderful and I will have the product for a long time. Worth the investment. Also, for any elementary teachers who write on chalkboards, you may want to try the larger white chalk. Funny but it looks like sidewalk chalk but writing with it is amazing. A teacher I worked with who retired a few years ago gave me a box she had. I put it in my chalk basket but never used it until recently. I'm never going back to standard white chalk...and it doesn't break either. So a combo of this colored chalk + larger white chalk is great!

The colors are bold! The chalk feels great to Draw with. It stains the 3 different kinds of chalkboards we use, that are all green. May be beat for black.Great chalk, will keep buying.I wish there were 2 purples, but thats a personal preference.

The colors were very vibrant and pure - looked good against the old styled brown chalkboard. However, the chalk broke very easily when I wrote with it. Just started using them today and I already had 3-4 sticks break when I was using them. I’m a teacher so I have a feeling these won’t last me through another semester if they break this easily.

The colors in this pack are great. I can't speak to their longevity because I only used them for one day, as part of a chalkboard guest book for a retirement party, where guests wrote messages on 12 x 12 chalkboards and posed with them for pictures, which were then put together in a guest book. The chalk showed up nicely, but it left a lot of mess on guests hands, more than I was expecting.

The colors are so vibrant, but the chalk is soft, and does not hold up well for writing on a chalkboard. That being said, I have purchased this item 3 or 4 times. I really love the colors. The color does rub off on your hands, and leaves residue on your chalkboard. You'll just have to clean your boards and hands more frequently.

Good chalk for working on a chalkboard that was very slick. The usual colored chalk was too hard and barely showed up; this type worked well. I did have to be really careful, though, because the sticks are fragile and easy to break.
