Love this book! There are simple and inspirational recipes! Beautiful photos and short stories accompanied some recipes

Before the book was purchased from AMAZON.COM it would have been nice to be able to look inside the book. Once it arrived the book was so inviting, the recipes so inspiring, that on a recent trip to Paris we took the train to Melun for a visit of the gorgoeus chateau . We were there all day , could take fotographs in- and outside, and had a enjoyable day. Thank you.

When I was in my midtwenties, I was lucky enough to live less then a kilometer from Vaux le Vicomte. It was not open for tours at that time. Later, when it was open, I was able to see it several times. The author is a charming hostess and the desserts are wonderful.

It's not much punkin' as a recipe book, but learning about the history of the people and place is interesting. I have an idea I'd like a cookbook by the Countess' chef more than this book.

Scrumptious desserts. Cannot wait to try them out. Neither too hard nor too many ingredients. It's a very large book, so i suggest making a copy of the pages to use in the kitchen. Would have liked to see more photos of food.

Lovely pictures and beautiful stories. I have to admit I have not tried the recipes because I bought the book due to our family connection to the Fouquet's ( the man who had the Chateau constructed).
