Does the battery work with a g15 dell laptop?

Sorry I don’t have a G5 laptop. But based on my experience with my Dell XPS 15 (9550), I would not recommend this battery because it depleted faster than expect it during my 5 months of using. It depleted from 2.45 hrs to a 45 minutes just little after 3 months of use & takes over 4 hrs to charge from 0-100%.

Is it original, or it´s a third party? if it is a third party can it cause any problems to my computer (xps 9550) and stored information?

It is a third party battery, but it fitted perfectly into my Dell XPS 15 9550. I have had no problems with my computer or the data stored on it. I would recommend it.
