Great fitting helmet and looks amazing. Comfortable and can be used for biking and snowboarding. The flaps kept my ears from freezing while doing snowboarding and they are removable. The helmet has some adjustable features which help with them being snug and they fit perfectly with my Smith Scope-RC 36 Snow Goggles.

I feel that this helmet fits well on my head, and is comfortable to wear. The padding is nice, and the helmet itself is light on your head. This colour (black) goes well with pretty much any coloured jacket, and the many vents on the helmet keep your head cool, especially during the spring (the ear pads can also be removed). The goggle fit is another great feature, as the helmet provides the right amount of space for my goggles to fit nicely. The helmet provides vents above the goggle space, preventing them from fogging up. Though this helmet has mostly positive features, I would definitely like it better if it were a bit less bulky (mostly at the back), and if it had more size adjusting features. I bought both Giro Ledge and Smith Holt, and I chose the Ledge over Holt for the following reasons: **My head measured at 60 cm but I’m a slim guy, and the Medium size from both models fit me very well, the Large size is significantly too large for me. ** 1. Size: Ledge is overall slimmer than Holt, especially on the sides: the Holt is rounded on the sides while Ledge is almost a straight cut. Ledge is also smaller in height, and feels a bit lighter on head. 2. Quality: though cheaper than the Holt, the Ledge actually has better quality in details. When I pulled the ear pieces down in order to put on the helmet, one of the ear pieces on Holt became loose and can be easily pulled out just after a few try. Also, for the press-on strap on the inside for size adjustment, Ledge’s gives a positive and solid snap while Holt’s is harder to push in and out, no clear snap either. 3. Thinner ear piece. Ledge’s ear pieces are much thinner than Holt’s, making it easier to hear things and may feels cooler in warmer days. They are both comfortable though, just personal preference. 4. Goggle strap clip: The one on Holt is a larger unit with very solid construction, tighter than Ledge’s, but Ledge’s can hold the strap just fine and it’s easier to bend to pull the strap in and out. However, I do think the Holt has a more stylish design. The Ledge looks kinda plain. Fitting wise, they both work out great, although the Ledge has a tighter fit in my opinion.

This helmet is great! I wore it skiing in heavy snow and wind. Temperatures were at 10 degrees. The helmet kept my ears and head warm, yet I could still hear. Just the right amount of ventilation to keep my head warm, yet not too hot. Well constructed. Easy to use chin strap/buckle. Very comfortable as well. I got my wife one as well. She is cold natured, and said it provided the perfect amount of air flow and warmth. I highly recommend this helmet.

Sharp looking and a great fit!

Finally a helmet that fits and fits well...a helmet that has a low profile....a helmet that looks great and can be used year round...finally! AND, it's a SMITH, at a great price!

Took a while to arrive but well worth it! MIPS certified and protects my son’s head!! Very important to me!! Great buy
